She was talking about the potentials in the future if we do not do something about the global warming.

It's like this (off the top of my head), if they do not install the water sprinklers in a building and somebody warned them that if they don't do that, they might face multiple deaths and they just brush that person off as nothingburger.

If she didn’t say that how do you know that’s what she meant? It’s your own interpretation.
Personally I think she believes Occasional Cortex in that the world ends in 12 years.

That's a poor example. Over population didn't lead to the Black Plague. Unsanitary conditions did. Small pox would be a better example of a disease causing a mass extinction as it killed roughly 90% of those infected. Again, that has nothing to do with population but rather the nature of the disease itself. Over population--crowding--only makes the spread of something like small pox easier and faster.

What happens when a small space is crowded?

Yeah, as I have stated, the more people, the more crowded, the better chance more will die.

As to the Black Death happening today, imagine how severe it would be due to mass transportations. We're talking about GLOBAL Black Death.

The plague is spread by rodents. No rodents, no plague. If a city, however crowded, is kept clean and infestations minimized, a plague-like event is extremely unlikely. On the other hand, something like small pox is a virus that is spread by aerosol or contact. Ebola is another disease that has potential for mass die offs for the same reason.

Yeah. It was just one of many examples that illustrates my point. Overpopulation, especially when the population growth is at a geometric rate, will lead to severe problems.

That can lead to mass extinction. Not what Greta was talking about but Anonymoose brought it up.

I don't even know who "her" or "she" is that is doing the babbling.

To T.A. : I have many differences with republicans but at least I can have a half way intelligent conversation with them. APL is a perfect example of the futility of having any kind of meaningful discussion with a prog.
To them up is down, down is up. White is black, black is white. All logic with them is upside down and/or inverted.
Perfect example: Riots = mostly peaceful protests

And to that one, let me start with the fact that the riots do not equate peaceful protests. Anyone with any brains can see that. The real futility is trying to pin it on somebody that wasn't responsible for it.

Want to see the real futility? Somebody claiming that the 1/6 riot was just "peaceful tourists" passing through.
