The government is the entity that made the loans, and the government is the entity that forgives the loans which moves them off the books. Just like how businesses write off failures to get out of debt; which is precisely what Warner Bros Discovery is doing.

This is going to shrink the deficit and/or debt in the long run because now 50M people, 35% of all taxpayers, suddenly have way more money to spend in the consumer market, which is 70% of the economy, but drives 100% of the growth.

But that has never crossed your mind because your mind is closed, and you are incapable of thinking in terms beyond anything that has to do with you and your ego.

Empirical facts? Those loans would have been repaid reducing the debt the government had to borrow when it issued those loans. All student loans are not governmental. The taxpayers still have to repay the money the government borrowed to get the money to loan.

No loans are being "forgiven", the debt is being transferred to the taxpayers.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were forgiven through Trump bankruptcies as well as deals he made with banks, just to keep his head above water.
