It is time once again to try to educate the illiterate: meaning those, like Democrats, that discard the Constitution. This includes, of course, Nordberg.
2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States said:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
This talks about the right self defense, using two related scenarios:
The right of a free State to defend itself. It does this by organizing militias (an army).
The right of the individual to defend himself. He does this by keeping and bearing Arms (weapons). ANY KIND OF WEAPON. It can be a rock, a club, a knife, a sword, a bow and arrow, a gun (including any machine gun), a cannon, a tank, a bazooka, a rocket with a warhead, a bomb (even a nuclear bomb), brass knuckles, spikes, sling, coin, roman candle,... ANYTHING.
The 2nd amendment does not specify any limitations on any weapon by type, size, scariness, action, size of magazine, how fast it can be used, size of missile (if any), brand name, color, weight, or whether it has a license or certification. NO weapon may be infringed. NO militia organized by a State for defense may be infringed.
The States agreed to the Constitution when they joined the Union, including agreeing to the 2nd amendment.
4th Amendment said:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
No license is required to own anything. That includes any weapon, any vehicle, any personal effects, any money, any gold, ANYTHING.
It is unconstitutional to search people at bus terminals, airports, train stations, public highways, homes, property, etc., unless:
You are seen committing a crime, or
a court order authorizes it through a specifically detailed search warrant, which MUST describe the place to be search, and the materials to be seized.
TSA searching people at airport is unconstitutional.
BATF searching people for 'illegal' guns or even explosives is unconstitutional.
Requiring a license or certification to own a gun is unconstitutional.
5th Amendment said:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
No property, including any gun, may be taken without due process of law, and no law is allowed to ban or limit guns or for a State to form a militia for self defense.
9th Amendment said:
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Rights do not come from a constitution. They are inherent. Constitutions do not give rights. Their purpose is to define and declare governments and to act as an agreement between governments (the way the Constitution of the United States acts as a contract between the States).
10th Amendment said:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Unless a power or authority is specifically given by this Constitution, the government formed by it (the federal government) has NO OTHER POWER OR AUTHORITY.
The federal government is NO POWER OR AUTHORITY over guns, environment, consumer products, agricultural markets, energy markets, housing markets, what light bulb you can buy, or what toilet you can buy.
What power and authority DOES the federal government have? See Article I, Section 8, where it lists them, along with the current amendments to the Constitution.
14th Amendment said:
Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Section 2.
Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice-President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age,* and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State.
Section 3.
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Section 4.
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
Section 5.
The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
All laws shall apply equally to everyone. That means no law can tax people differently because they happen to be rich or poor, implement racism (including affirmative action laws), use tax money for 'privileged' lanes or transportation, or any law that treats someone differently because they own a 'scary' weapon, or whether they've had a 'vaccination', or whether they wear a mask.
No court, including the Supreme Court, has authority to change or 'interpret' the Constitution. Article III specifically lists what power and authority the Supreme Court (and all lower courts) have. They were never given power to interpret or change the Constitution.
The Constitution speaks for itself. It is the ONLY authoritative reference of the Constitution.
You can't change a poker hand at showdown by 'interpreting' it. You can't change the Constitution by 'interpreting' it. It is what it is. It is written in plain English.
It's high time to return to the Constitution, and support anyone that upholds it. No Democrat upholds this document. They ALL reject and discard it, even though they try to hide behind it.
