Then why weren't there numerous examples of gun violence in the 50's and 60's, before all the regulations were put into affect; because the access was much easier??

Completely delusional. Obsessed with guns to the point of paranoid delusion. Note that the CDC has published a study claiming that guns are used about 2.5 million times a year to protect life and prevent crime. You want to increase that 40,000 number by orders of magnitude.
