Then if it a legitimate discussion you need to justify why they should have it all all. Why it's being taken away is irrelevant. They never should have had it in the first place. If what they are doing isn't important enough for them to spend their own money on it, then you better have a fucking damn good reason to take it from my pocket.

That is a healthy discussion, but that is not the discussion here as Trumppers are happy with simply taking funding away ONLY FROM HARVARD and not others based on a justification that is legit.

Its not what is happening here. If it were I would be happy to evaluate and have an opinion. This is about the principal of free speech, the money is not being taken away because the Administration believes they should not have it in the first place, it is being taken away because the Administration does not like the message they are allowing people to share.
Its about the emotional reaction to the message they are allowing to be shared. Taking government action against any group just because you do not like them allowing free speech is the issue here.
Yale and Dartmouth and The University of Florida and Auburn and any other big University gets the same funding, but the Administration likes their behavior and thus is not trying to take it away.

Here are the facts, Harvard has an endowment of $52 billion dollars yet they are being given money taken from people who will never go to Harvard and who may be struggling to make ends meet. So you are defending the reason because you do not like the funding. You are all for this Administration being allowed to manage speech it does not like.

That would be a good discussion, I suspect, without studying it, that some funding is valid and used for legitimate purposes that benefit the Nation as a whole, and that some is not legit. That is something for Congress to consider.
The issue I was discussing here is the stated reason of the Administration and the clear objectives of the Administration which is to suppress speech that they do not like.
