First, the Republicans never had total control of the government even after Trump was elected. they never had a 60 vote majority in the Senate, the so-called "Republican" ranks are full of "Never Trump" Neocons, (the Bush bunch), who's hair caught fire after Trump won their primary as bad as the Democrats hair caught fire after Trump beat Hillary.

Secondly, Federal operated healthcare is unconstitutional according to amendment 10 of our Constitution regardless of what party passes any form of it through the Congress. So, as far as I'm concerned I favor following the Constitution, getting the feds out of the healthcare insurance business and leaving it to the authority of the States and the people as the Constitution mandates!

As is usual, two posts from you based on your lack of knowledge, and just plain stupidity. "So far as I am concerned" does not overrule the USSC in spite of your wishes. As to following the Constitution, you only want to follow it as long as it pleases you. Under that same Constitution the President is to enforce the laws, yet you do not mind if he violates them as long as it is one from the Repugnant party. Then too, you don't mind him lying to the Public, and avoiding being held accountable.

As to healthcare, the Founders established free healthcare from the beginning, as well as homes for the poor. Of course, you know more then they did.

As to the Congress, the only time they needed a 60 vote majority is in the case of a veto. So you failed there too. They sure as hell prevented Obama his judicial appointees.
