Has Trump become the new O.J.?

There is recent polling out there that indicates this may well be the case. Even after his acquittal, most Americans had a negative opinion of Simpson. They saw his acquittal as nothing more than what a celebrity can get away with by using a cadre of high profile attorneys.
Instead of having a positive post - impeachment impression of Trump, it appears that a majority of Americans feel that Trump was indeed guilty (although not rising to the level of removal from office) and that McConnell's quasi trial was just a coverup. How accurate this assessment is will be proven in November.

Only people who watch fox think the Impeachments end was correct

Fake news created his base

Just Like that idiot republican said recently "If Fox existed back then Nixon would never have been Impeached"

I will give Trump credit. He did an outstanding job of "conditioning" his supporters way before the election with his "Its a rigged system" rants.

People that know the Constitution know the end was correct.

After the election, it's you lefties that have lived the "it's a rigged system" life.

304 - 227. The cunt got her ass kicked and you lefties can't take it like adults.

November is not going to be a good month for you. ;)

No one needed to condition the Trump supporters. The Republicans were well conditioned with Racism, Abuse of Power, Self-Interest, Corruption, Xenophobia, Homophobia, Misogyny, Lies, Fake News, Conspiracy Theories, Hatred for others, bigotry, and White Nationalism before Donald Trump reigned in on their hatred to become their "Messenger of Hate" for them.

You give new meaning to the word MORON every damned day.

Does the Constitution say that the accused can order witnesses not to testify, provided they work or have worked for him?

Accused? What crime was Trump accused of? If they were actually witnesses and Trump ordered them not to testify, wouldn't the House include obstruction of Justice in the articles?

You leftists are such gullible dupes. You'd gobble up anything the PHONY media feeds you.

The Constitution says nothing either way for or against.

What the Constitution does say is that the Senate conducts a trial and it takes a 2/3 vote to remove from office.

Certainly some similarities there. Like OJ, Trump was found innocent in a sham trial and most Americans still believe he's guilty.

Why was the OJ trial a sham?

So the trial was before my time, but based on what I've seen from documentaries, it seems like OJ's team did everything they could to shift the focus onto a racist cop and this actually worked. Instead of OJ being on trial, it ended up being about this cop. Republicans actually tried the same thing by shifting focus to Hunter Biden and the Democrats.
Of course, there are still differences. We don't know if the jury in the OJ trial was biased, whereas with Trump, a few of the Republicans openly admitted they didn't care about evidence.
