Has Trump become the new O.J.?

OJ was guilty and acquitted because he was black. Trump wasn't guilty although an attempt to railroad him was made he's the white MAN that replaced the black BOY by defeating the idiot the black BOY said was the most qualified to ever run for the office.

So the trial was before my time, but based on what I've seen from documentaries, it seems like OJ's team did everything they could to shift the focus onto a racist cop and this actually worked. Instead of OJ being on trial, it ended up being about this cop. Republicans actually tried the same thing by shifting focus to Hunter Biden and the Democrats.
Of course, there are still differences. We don't know if the jury in the OJ trial was biased, whereas with Trump, a few of the Republicans openly admitted they didn't care about evidence.

The cop wasn't racist but Hunter Biden is corrupt.

The Republicans examined the evidence Democrats said was overwhelming and determine that was a lie.

And yet a few of them admitted their minds were made up before the hearings even began. And they blocked witnesses and some documents.
Yeah, not a sham trial at all.

Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and most of the other Democrats.

No witnesses were blocked. The House, based on their claims of overwhelming evidence, called many witnesses. Are you saying the House didn't do that and voted for impeachment without any evidence?

Nowhere in the definition of trial does it say witnesses. It does say examination of the evidence and that was done.

Before your time? How young are you?

That's classified.

Guess that makes you a millennial. (I guess potentially Gen Z but I find it difficult to believe someone that young would post on here)

I always assumed someone with your separation of the races beliefs would be much older but that’s my fault for assuming.

There are actually a lot of people my age that believe people should be able to associate with whoever they want, including when that's based on race. I do think true racism, like hating people of different races and wanting to forcibly remove them, is more of a Boomer thing.

There is recent polling out there that indicates this may well be the case. Even after his acquittal, most Americans had a negative opinion of Simpson. They saw his acquittal as nothing more than what a celebrity can get away with by using a cadre of high profile attorneys.
Instead of having a positive post - impeachment impression of Trump, it appears that a majority of Americans feel that Trump was indeed guilty (although not rising to the level of removal from office) and that McConnell's quasi trial was just a coverup. How accurate this assessment is will be proven in November.

I don't have to wait until November to know you're a moron. OJ was universally popular before he MURDERED two people, and then not so much after that. Trump wasn't as popular before, but the impeachment hasn't hurt him in the least. Oh, moron, Trump didn't break any laws nor hurt anyone. I fully support what he did.
