Here are a few quotes from "Dear ole Rush"

Never speak ill of the recently dead. It's tacky and malicious. There's plenty of time to do that later...

Conventional etiquette dictates that we do not speak ill of the dead. But Rush Limbaugh isn’t just any dead guy.

He’s a dead guy who made himself a multimillionaire many times over by targeting immigrants, women who use birth control, the preteen daughters of politicians, the Obamas, rape survivors, environmentalists, gay people, Asians, Latinos, Black people, and feminists. He popularized the term “feminazi,” a word that stupid assholes fling at women who won’t fuck them to this very day. He said that white people can’t be blamed for slavery, as they have done more than anybody else to end slavery. He mocked the intelligence of Black athletes and villainized the ones who protested against police brutality.

Twenty-five years ago, the great Molly Ivins noticed Limbaugh’s schtick of targeting “dead people, little girls, and the homeless,” an act that only accelerated as he approached the end of his life and his own death approached. He spoke ill of people who died of AIDS, of people who died by suicide, of people who were dying of Parkinson’s disease, and unarmed Black children who were murdered under racist pretenses.

Rush Limbaugh lived proudly to be the Messenger Of Hate. When Evil dies, it is celebrated! DING DONG- THE WITCH IS DEAD!

I don't write the rules, but in life, you end up getting what you give. One little side note here- Hate begets hate!

And now the world is a better place!

Right, snopes called it a mixture, but if it was joe biden they would call it false.

and the one racist comment he admits to making was the bone comment in the 1970's to which he has acknowledged regret for and not on his talk show program. nothing else in that list is verified other than a couple comments on the nfl which an objective reader would see he was accusing the NFL of racism and not making a racist statement.

If we are to hold rush to this now single comment from the 1970's one which he expressed regret, you would then have to apply this same standard across the board including the racist gaffe machine we have as our current potus.

or so you heard.

Rush was a bigot, a misogynist, anti-gay, and a divider who helped create the lefty, righty tensions that exist in America. He was a despicable man.

Right, snopes called it a mixture, but if it was joe biden they would call it false.

What does Biden have to do with anything (other than diverting from the issue).

Yes, I read the Snopes analysis. Did you find anything misleading or inaccurate? They did a good job of researching.

fuck you. tired of you asshole trolls

Then don't read them. In case you didn't know this is a forum to discuss politics--not troll, make personal insults, or attack others.

Be a big boy. You pretend to care about others--try treating them like you care.

Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”

“They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?”

*[To an African American female caller]:*“Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

“I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

“You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray [the confessed assassin of Martin Luther King]. We miss you, James. Godspeed.”

Simply put, Rush was a racist through and through. I will say this: At least he didn't hide it like the racist cowards on JPP try doing every day.

You should read the snopes on it. Very few of your horrifying statements you attribute to him are backed up. When you make false accusations like that you wind up with folks that will not believe the actual statements made because you have shown you simply "wish" some of them. They check, they see you were willing to lie about it and dismiss important information because you were willing to post what you "wished" he said rather than simply check.

Let's fact check that, using a leftist source you trust, shall we?

What snopes says:
The only source we’ve turned up so far that putatively documents this quote is the 2006 book 101 People Who Are Really Screwing America, which attributed it to Rush Limbaugh but cited no source. On his program of 12 October 2009, Limbaugh disclaimed this quote as a fabricated one:

There’s a quote out there that I first saw it in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch last week that I somehow, some time ago, defended slavery and started cracking jokes about it. And, you know, you say a lot of things in the course of 15 hours a week, over the course of 21 years. We’ve gone back, we have looked at everything we have. There is not even an inkling that any words in this quote are accurate. It’s outrageous, but it’s totally predictable.

It’s being repeated by people who have never listened to this program, they certainly didn’t hear it said themselves because it was never said.

“You know who deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor? James Earl Ray. We miss you, James. Godspeed.”

What snopes says:
Likewise, this statement is attributed (without sourcing) to Limbaugh in 101 People Who Are Really Screwing America. Although it is often cited as something he said on his radio program on 23 April 1998, we haven’t turned up any references to this quote from earlier than 2005.

“[Blacks are] 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?”

What snopes says:
This statement has been indirectly referenced as something Rush Limbaugh once said on the air since at least as far back as 2000, but we have found no documenting source for it.

“If/would” bullshit. In the history of mankind, “if/would” has never occurred.

No diversion, snopes was fine, the rating would be different had the person been a left winger. I can find an example. The point is. Some posters see “mixture” and think 50/50. There is one racist statement rush admitted to and regretted from the 70’s. The comparison to bidens racist comments and actions is apt if people are going to lie about rush’s so called “racism”

Why are we comparing Biden and Rush?
