I was talking to my buddy this weekend at the USC game. He's headed to Iraq in about a month. I now wish I could have told him that if he dies there its my fault.
No tell him it's the fault of the peace marchers.
Or the democrats.

whatever you do, don't blame those who gave bush the support to start this war. He didn't go to war without the people behind him, and yes, they bear responsibility, they sure do.

If my friend dies I'll blame the mother f*cker(s) who killed him. My friend was (student body) President while we were at USC. He has been successful in business. He loves flying and now is going to fly fighter jets over Iraq. He joined on his own accord. He is very aware of the risks he faces.
Not sure why you would think I'm going to blame Democrats if something happens to him. My boy is the man and he will handle his business.
Because I have you a list of people who have been blamed for the deaths, right on this thread.
If he loves flying he could have stayed here and flown. There's going to be a little something besides flying he is going to be doing there Cawacko. And his risk will be far smaller than the people he's dropping that little something on. Why is always necessary to whitewash war?

The guy loves the U.S. and is willing to go to war to fight for it. That's the best I can explain it.

I agree with you usc, but if he went to college with cawacko he is no kid. This is a man well into his 30's we are talking about.
My heart constricts when I think of the 17 and 18 year olds many of whom are talked into enlisting by methods that it would be ILLEGAL for a used car man to employ. I have been counter recruiting, and I do it in high schools in low income areas, and to a kid they tell me, but the recruiter told me I wouldn't go to Iraq. The easist targets seem to be latinos. I think personally that they are more inclined to feel as if they have to "prove their patriotism" mostly because of these anti-immigrant attacks. Second are poor whites, looking for a way out. Last are black kids. They don't feel any need to prove their "patriotism" because they were born here, and they already know the government will fuck them over, and smile. They are the easiest to talk to. They tell you, yeah he told me I'm not going to Iraq, but you don't have to worry, I know I'm going to Iraq and there is no chance of me enlisting. And then you can at least have a good laugh with them, which by then you really need.
