Here’s How Your Children Are Getting Indoctrinated by Leftist Ideology.

I recall a teacher or two who read from the Bible in the morning. The Gideons came through and handed out miniature Bibles. I found mine recently.

Indoctrination? Most certainly. It never stuck for most anyway. It was just the routine.

I had a biology teacher who skipped the evolution chapter because of the controversy.

I'm all for a plague on both their houses, but I've never actually seen the Left say something is right-wing indoctrination in schools. At most, Leftists will say something is factually wrong, like the story of the first Thanksgiving. But they don't pretend there is a coordinated effort to make kids more conservative.

That's actually a good point. I'm sure pushing for Creationism and Bible classes is well intentioned.

I’m a Former Teacher. Here’s How Your Children Are Getting Indoctrinated by Leftist Ideology.

Your children are being indoctrinated. The education system designed to teach them how to think critically has been weaponized by the radical left to push an anti-American agenda.

As someone who has worked in education for four years, I have seen firsthand how your children are being ensnared by the left and their teachers.

I worked with kids from ages 3 to 13 and saw the brainwashing that exists at all levels of education. The left uses a combination of propaganda and suppression to push kids into the ensnaring grip of socialism and anti-patriotism.

First is the propaganda. Teachers will assign work instilling the idea that the pillars of Western civilization were evil, and their memories deserve to be thrown in the trash.

Here’s an example. I was helping one of my elementary school students with a homework assignment about listing famous Britons throughout history. She already had some of the more obvious ones: Shakespeare, Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth.

“Well, how about Winston Churchill?” I recommended.

“Oh no, not him,” she replied. “He was a racist and didn’t think women should have rights. He wasn’t a good guy.”

I was floored. It clearly wasn’t something she came up with on her own. She was just regurgitating propaganda her teacher had taught her. All sense of nuance and critical thinking about the man who saved Europe from the Nazis was gone. Churchill committed “wrongthink,” so in the bin he goes.

Re: the bolded, why does the guy conclude she learned this from her teacher? Maybe she learned it from her parents.

Do you think it's appropriate to teach Bible stories in a non-religious school?

Are you referencing the Pledge of Allegiance?

You mean the Pledge that started out as a stiff-arm salute, that Pledge?

There has been a lot in Texas............

Some even think forcing kids to pledge allegiance is, especially since they don't even know what it means....

I never heard of that, but I'm sure stuff like that does happen here and there. Though because it's much more rare, it's probably just the Far-Left that complains about things like that.
Although, Jehovah's Witnesses aren't allowed to do the pledge. So I wonder how many cases of that are actually coming from Leftists. Extremist Muslims and Black Supremacists also don't do the pledge and neither of them should be considered left-wing either.

So?

The first badge for the 45th Infantry division used to 1939, was a swastika because the division drew heavily on troops from W. Texas, Oklahoma, N. Mexico, and Arizona and that was a ancient Native American symbol that honored the area the troops were drawn from. It was changed to the Thunderbird of Native American lore for obvious reasons.

Times and events change things. Your post is only of historical relevance and nothing more.

As an aside, Conservatives often consider anyone to be on the Left if they are religious but not part of mainstream Christianity or not white.
They consider Islamic Terrorism to be left-wing, which doesn't make sense, since Theocracy is a right-wing thing. They've even called the Amish and the Mennonites left-wing because they're supposedly Socialists. I think if the Jehovah's Witnesses made a stir, the Right would call them Leftists in a heartbeat.

I see he is now a secretary for the Heritage Foundation. Probably a school secretary as well.

That's what I'm thinking. It wouldn't take a principal too long to figure out this idiot doesn't have what it takes to teach kids.

JW's are not political & do not support the state.. They will not join any military campaigns & were awarded special treatments for their blind loyalty in the german concentration camps..

SO their failure to give allegiance to the state or flag would prob make most think they are on the left, but they are some of the most conservative & ridged ppl out there..

Thanks for mentioning the article instead of a weak attempt to insult me :)

To answer you probably not, but id love to make a compromise, no bible stories if they take pushing gay and transgender lifestyles out of the curriculum

Christie this is just truth, I never formerly graduated the 8th grade but when I went to school they taught us how to read, write, we didnt have kids graduating HS that needed to have pictures on registers because they couldnt figure out what numbers to hit...or couldnt read a paragraph.

By the time I finished 7th grade I could read and read well, granted, I didnt know anything about being homosexual or how i could transition to a girl if I wanted too but knowing how to read well saved me.

There is not enough time in a school day to teach a liberal wish list and then life skills.

After reading that tripe, my guess is that Douglas was given a choice of "quit or be fired" very early in his career as a "teacher".

First, the major problem with our schools is they don't teach Critical Thinking at all .

Second, he slings out the accusation of teaching "socialism and anti-patriotism" then never makes his case of who that is being done. The comments of another asshole teacher are not proof.

Lastly, the manner in which he wrote indicates teaching a single school and, as noted above, a single school year. His comment was "As someone who has worked in education for four years", not "a teacher for four years". Seems deliberately opaque to me. He could have been a teacher's assistant for three years and/or worked in an office or the library.

I tried to Google his career but only came up with his work at the Heritage Foundation and their brainwashing/indoctrination titled "Heritage's Young Leaders Program". My assessment is that Doug is a major douchebag and touched in the head so he could be the next Stephen Miller.
