Hero Cop Will Not Be Charged

You are completely wrong. The federal Use of Force rules show he failed to follow them and for that he should be criminally tried.

And. I disagree. Just like you wish every BLM protester who burned anything should be killed - although I wish she was still alive, she was committing treason - stopping an official, national proceeding. The penalty for treason is death. I wish she wasn't dead, but unlike you, I do not see it as an injustice. It was a tragedy. 1/6 was a tragedy. Full stop.

Wrong. Did you look at the federal Use of Force model I posted? This asshole completely ignored his training and shot Babbitt in the back. He deserves to be charged and tried for that.

Well, then you need to write your congressman and demand justice for Babbit's heroic death my friend. I wish you the best.

You claimed that Biden investigated the homicide and cleared the police officer. Now you are fleeing from it.

Biden is not supposed to get briefings on an active investigation. Any evidence that he did?

If it's something he's interested in, he can get briefings on it. Especially if it's deemed a matter of national significance that could have larger implications (like civil unrest).

The president is the chief executive. We like to pretend (idiotically) that he's somehow not in charge of the DOJ, but, he is. All of the cabinet secretaries derive their power from the president.

Many people object to the idea of the president being informed of active investigations, but, Biden doesn't really have a personal connection to any of the Capital Police. It's only the FBI investigation of Hunter where there is an expectation that he stay out of the matter.

Then why aren't any of the others charged with treason?

Not really. It would be improper.

Anyway, we have gone from a claim somehow Biden is personally investigating to the claim that maybe he heard something... You keep moving the goal post.

The fact remains that Babbitt, high on drugs, was bashing down a door protecting the VP of the USA, and many members of Congress. And she was warned repeatedly to stop. The only conceivable reasons she would not realize she was about to be killed was severe drug use and/or insanity. Either way, her family should be shamed for letting her walk out in the community.

No, but I don't want to see him honored as some hero for shooting an unarmed woman. Did you notice that he was the only cop to feel the need to shoot the woman? Or, for that matter, shoot anyone at all?

Again.

1. What other cops did or didn't do is irrelevant. When Babbitt decided he was going to try to disrupt a 250 year tradition of a smooth transfer of American power, she knew the risk.

2. I DON'T think the cop deserves a medal. He was just doing his job. I also don't think he deserves to be attacked like you guys are doing.

If Babbitt was a black person killed by a cop during a BLM riot you would be celebrating.

Dude. You commit a crime, like trespassing - you take the risk. You're always all over liberals for not being responsible, hold that woman responsible for her own actions.

Or don't. I really don't care.

Trespassing is a misdemeanor--a minor crime. It is not a violent crime either. Federal law enforcement is trained to a specific standard and that is the federal use of force model. A police officer CANNOT shoot someone for merely trespassing. What the officer that shot Babbitt did was in direct violation of that standard and he should have been disciplined, and even charged, for not following his training.

You have any reasonable sources that Babbitt was on drugs? I never read anything saying that.

No. The cop shot someone committing treason by trying to halt the 200 year tradition of a smooth transfer of power. Did she deserve to die? No. Was the cop wrong for shooting her? No. It was a tragedy. If you feel the cop needs to be tried and convicted for something, again.. write your congressman.

You are conflating a crime with an action. Regardless of what crime(s) Babbitt might have been committing, a federal law enforcement officer must follow the federal use of force guidelines in using force. What you say above is nothing more than justifying vigilantly justice. The officer does not have a right to be judge, jury, and executioner. That's what you are trying to justify.

The officer should have followed federal use of force guidelines, and he should not have fled the scene after shooting Babbitt like he did. The officer was completely wrong in shooting her.

Fuck Babbitt. All those assholes should have been killed.

I'm assuming that PMP meant that since his DOJ investigated the matter, he technically owns the investigation.

Now, being informed of a matter is not improper. Inserting yourself into a matter is what's improper. I don't see why that distinction is difficult to grasp.

Well, you've got it all figured out. Take this post you just wrote and send it to your congressman. Tell him you think there's been a grave injustice done that that the cop needs to just be executed without a trial.

You know all about what's right and wrong. I envy you.

nobody expects Biden to be informed about anything.....why bother giving him information he will just forget in ten minutes?......

No Biden does not. The DOD generals always found it offensive when trump called them "his generals". They are the United States' generals. he was the commander-in-chief of them, but he did not own them.

I never stated any of that. The officer involved needs to be held accountable per the rules of his organization and then the laws of this country. It is YOU that wants him left unaccountable for his actions, which you champion and condone--and which amount to vigilantly justice.
