Hey, MAGA voters: You've been had. Trump's plans for the economy may ruin you.

Trump is very good at taking care of himself at the expense of others.

Sadly, his sheeple support the Orange Jesus and his worship of mammon.
Oh Trump supporters are really stupid , who in the hell would support somebody that comes right out and tells them he doesn't give a shit about them all he wanted was their votes and he still wants their money and they are so stupid they are still giving it to him, a so called BILLIONAIRE

Agreed as JPP Trump fans prove daily. Sad.

This points out the dangers of only getting your info from a single or maybe a couple of biased sources. You can bet that none of the MAGATs other than the few here who can read more than a 130-character post learn of the crap their #FascistFuehrer says about them, or about much else other than "I alone can fix that." The few who read our posts pointing out his lies and claims and bragging labeled it as "fake news" and refuse to consider that we are right. Cognitive dissonance is too painful.

President-elect Donald Trump cares deeply about the forgotten men and women of the MAGA movement, the regular folks
You know, Rex Huppke (the article's author) would've been correct if he would've simply ended his article right here. From here on out, he goes off the rails.
who believe wealthy elites have made America decidedly NOT GREAT.
Here, Rex needs to define "wealthy elites".
So I’m sure those forgotten men and women are thrilled to know Trump has stocked his upcoming administration with enough billionaires and multimillionaires to, as The Guardian put it recently, “form a soccer team.”
Here, Rex sounds jealous of people who have more money and success than he does.
That’s right. Axios reported last week that, including Trump himself, the administration-to-be is already staffed with 14 billionaires. The list includes Linda McMahon as Education secretary, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy as government efficiency overseers, Howard Lutnick as Commerce secretary and billionaire hedge-fund manager Scott Bessent as Treasury secretary.
Rex is STILL jealous of people who have more money and success than he does. The people who Rex is complaining about here have all earned their money with hard work, long hours, and providing skills/knowledge that very few people in the whole nation can provide.

Rex should instead think about all of the Demonkkkrats who have NOT worked hard, have NOT worked long hours, provide NO special skills/knowledge, instead spending their entire lives as career politicians, raking in their dough from the working man as well as from their being in positions of influence/affluence.

I’m sure these down-to-earth billionaires care deeply about the forgotten men and women who put Trump in office. Surely they are in no way “elite,” aside from perhaps owning an island,
Here, Rex has walked himself into a paradox. He just got done calling 'them' "elites", but now he's saying that 'they' are NOT "elites". WHICH IS IT, REX??
or maybe occasionally hunting poor people for sport on said island.
WTF?!?!?!? Yup, Rex is definitely jealous of their money and success.
Trump is surrounding himself with non-elite billionaires who care
Same paradox from above.
Forbes reported in 2021 that President Joe Biden’s Cabinet had a net worth of about $188 million.

The Guardian puts the net worth of Trump’s gang thus far at more than $300 billion. If you believe in math, it's a staggering sum, about 2,000 times the wealth of those in the Biden administration.
Here, he's bad at math. It's more around 1,600 times. He also continues his intense jealousy of people who are more successful than he is (and have more money than he has).

According to his (lack of) "logic", the poorest of the poor should instead be selected for a President's cabinet (because he seems to be arguing: "the wealthier, the worse", "the poorer, the better").
So, you know … regular folks, the kind who undoubtedly can relate to the day-to-day needs of Americans. The sort who regularly go to grocery stores, which they refer to as “commoner slop-distribution centers.” The kind who would never want to harvest the blood of young people in a narcissistic quest for eternal life.

Musk, Ramaswamy may come after VA health care, but it's fine

There’s no way billionaire businessmen like Musk and Ramaswamy would do anything that helps the rich at the expense of hardworking Americans. They wrote recently in The Wall Street Journal that they will be “taking aim at the $500 billion plus in annual federal expenditures that are unauthorized by Congress.”

And yes, that could include things like the Department of Veterans Affairs medical services, billions of dollars in funding for education and housing, and the Head Start program.

But I’m 100% sure we can trust these billionaires because they’re with Trump, and Trump is clearly anti-elite. As the conservative Heritage Foundation trumpeted after the election: “With Trump’s Win, ‘Ordinary’ Americans Declared Independence from the Elites.”

And Fox Business host Stuart Varney said after Trump won: “The elites have been living in a bubble. Trump just burst it.”

Huzzah! Take that, elites! Now please stand back while regular-guy-billionaire Donald Trump installs a phalanx of other billionaires who will, in a totally non-elite way, lower their own taxes while taking away government services that many forgotten men and women rely on for little things like continuing to live.

Yup, this guy's whole article is just him whining about people who have more money and success than he does. What a DOPE!

This is a capitalist society based on competition for resources and opportunity. All FDR did was a little redistribution of the national coffers to give the working stiffs who make it all possible to have SOMETHING to show for all their contribution and abiding by the law.
These are the words of someone known online as Sundance:

The fear behind liberalism is the fear that someone might withhold things (opportunities, money, whatever) from me, fear that if you live your life in a way I dislike that it might affect my life, fear that if you get that job, there will be nothing left for me. Fear that if you make tons of money, it’s means there’s less money out there for me. So people who believe in leftist ideologies seek control as a means of trying to create guarantees and safeguards against those circumstances they fear.

Modern “liberals”, leftists, try to control the world and people to enable their comfort and happiness. Which, as we know, is an endless quest. Trying to control others does nothing in the way of making oneself happy. By extension, voting in this mindset so that government can try to control others will also – shocking – not lead to a happier, more comfortable life.

The conservative believes in abundance. The liberal believes in scarcity.

The conservative believes man is born free and will be who he is, no matter what arbitrary limitations or rules are put on him. The leftist believes man is perfectible, and by extension, believes a society at large is perfectible, and command and control is justified in the quest to a “perfect” utopian society. (Sounds familiar!)

The conservative tends to be more faithful – and not necessarily in God, but in the ability of the individual to find great strength in himself (or from his God) to get what he needs and to be successful. Therefore the conservative has an outlet for his fear and disappointment – trust and faith in something bigger.

The leftist believes the system must be perfected in order to enable success. Therefore disappointment is channeled as anger and blame at the system. Voids are left to be filled by faith in the govt, which they surely then want to come in and “fix” things.

And therein lies the roots of love and fear respectively. For the conservative, when life presents great struggles, he knows he has the power to surmount them. Happiness stems from internal strength and perseverance. For the modern leftist, when life presents great struggles, the system failed, therefore they were at the mercy of a faulty system, and they believe that only when the system is fixed can their life improve. Happiness is built on systemic contingencies, which they will then seek to control or expect someone else to.

One blames himself. The other blames anyone and everyone but himself.

And there it is. There’s where the meanness comes from. The leftist ideology causes that person to cast anger at the world when things go wrong or appear “unfair.” He constantly chooses only to see the “injustices” – and that makes for a very miserable, mean, blame-casting existence.

That is my point, who in the hell is so stupid they vote against their own well being?
And the answer to that is the MAGA and a lot of right wingers.
As I said before if Trump even does 1/3 of what he says he wants to do it will be the end of the USA as we have known it all our lives.
They are so stupid they can't see Trump's tariffs alone will drive up prices of just about everything we buy , Even AMERICAN made goods we use a lot of parts we get from China to make them and it will cause higher unemployment and could drive us into a deep recession / depression.
That will take money away from large corps. that they could have used to build the infrastructure we need to make more AMERICAN made products we do not make here now.
And another thing messing with Mexico and Canada can hurt us big time.
What if he pisses off Canada and they stop or put big tariffs on our goods or just raises the price of their goods the amount of Trump's tariffs it will make a lot of things we buy go up and up.
What if Canada stops exporting electric to the 4 or 5 Midwest states what are the people there going to do?
It only take a flip of a switch.
They don't have power plants to provide them with electric and it would take YEARS to build one.
Trump had better be careful who he is messing with.
Pay backs can be a mother fucker.

No one ever wins in a trade war. #TRE45ON is a simpleton who, like his worshipers, prefers simple "solutions" to very complex problems. If the goal is to bring the manufacturing of certain goods back to the U.S., wouldn't it be better to encourage that by offering tax incentives to U.S. companies to reverse their outsourcing to other countries? Tax penalties could also be imposed on those corporations who continue to outsource. Of course, since he already lowered their corporate tax rate to next to nothing, that might be a bit tricky. Look at how many huge corporations pay zero in taxes now.

And that is on record profits.
And they get Federal subsidies beside.
the US oil industry is just one example.
Putting tariffs of 20/30/40 /60/300% on imported goods will do a lot more harm then they will do good.
As it has been pointed out on here it will be the Consumer who will end up paying them NOT the exporting countries and the MAGA can 't seem to understand that.
I hope he is all talk but if he does do it the recession/depression will be a goody ,
And when those MAGA have to pay a lot higher price for just about EVERYTHING they buy they will cry like babies.
