Hey, MAGA voters: You've been had. Trump's plans for the economy may ruin you.

No one ever wins in a trade war. #TRE45ON is a simpleton who, like his worshipers, prefers simple "solutions" to very complex problems. If the goal is to bring the manufacturing of certain goods back to the U.S., wouldn't it be better to encourage that by offering tax incentives to U.S. companies to reverse their outsourcing to other countries? Tax penalties could also be imposed on those corporations who continue to outsource. Of course, since he already lowered their corporate tax rate to next to nothing, that might be a bit tricky. Look at how many huge corporations pay zero in taxes now.
An excellent post.

My thoughts are that the US won't win a trade war by bringing back the manufacture of $10 hammers and $20 jeans. Better to excel in tech. The US is also a net energy, aircraft and food exporter. We can grow those industries.

Exports The top exports of United States are Refined Petroleum ($138B), Crude Petroleum ($118B), Petroleum Gas ($116B), Cars ($57.5B), and Integrated Circuits ($49.8B), exporting mostly to Canada ($308B), Mexico ($294B), China ($151B), Japan ($79.5B), and United Kingdom ($75.4B).

In 2022, United States was the world's biggest exporter of Refined Petroleum ($138B), Medical Instruments ($33.3B), Gas Turbines ($32.5B), Planes, Helicopters, and/or Spacecraft ($27.6B), and Corn ($19.3B)

We are judging people on what they do for America. FDR did a lot for America.
That’s not what the article stated. It is judging people taking office on their net worth, not their actions. Hence the FDR reference.
