Circular arguments are of the form:
A -> B
B -> A
When asked "What makes you think 'A'?" ... the response is "Well I know that B -> A.
When asked "Well then, what makes you think 'B'?" ... the response is "Well I know that A -> B"
My classic Christian example is:
Intelligent Creator -> Intelligent Creation
Intelligent Creation -> Intelligent Creator
"What makes you think there's an intelligent Creator?"
"Just look at the intelligent creation!"
"What makes you think this is an intelligent creation?"
"Well, it was created by an intelligent Creator."
(repeat)
There is nothing wrong with this circular argument, but some Christians get themselves into trouble when they "pull a Swan" and try to use the circular argument to "prove" things that are themselves fallacies, as in Swan's classic example:
"Moraines prove that there was an ice age."
"Ice ages produce moraines."
(there's nothing wrong thus far, but then he runs amok)
"This stone is a moraine."
"How do you know it's a moraine?"
"Because it was pushed here by a glacier during the last ice age."
"How do you know there was an ice age?"
"Look at the moraine."

@ Terry, I warned you about taxing your brain stem. This can cause serious problems for you, so just let your attendant nurse worry about things while you just focus on remaining comfortable.
If it will ease your mind, I don't use the @ with any software; it's how I address someone specifically within a post. For example, if I want to shout out to my other sock, Cypress, I will write:
"@ Cypress, hey buddy, how am I doing?"
... but don't worry about it if you don't quite fully understand it right away ... you are brain dead after all. Just relax.
