Homosexuality is not a sin

It's certainly not a sin, but is it really "normal?"

Other kinds of birth defects occur, but we don't call them normal.

I am opposed to discriminating against homosexuals, but I'm also opposed to discriminating against handicapped people as well.

It's normal for homosexual people

yes....did you intend to make a point?......

homosexuals are unable to function in a normal manner sexually.........they are no less handicapped than an alcoholic who is unable to drink as normal people do.......

What makes you think homosexuality isn't a "normal manner sexually"?
Tyranny of the majority!

You keep comparing homosexuality to things that are out of the norm and harmful. Not all things out of the normal are harmful. I am certain there are things about you that are out of the normal.

He supports Trump! No sane moral person would do that!

Why?

Homosexuality is more of a variation than it is a "handicap" or an "abnormality." Furthermore it is not harmful to others or to the gay person, other than within a culture that discriminates against them.

I totally agree that it's not harmful to others or to the gay person unless they're subjected to illegal abuse.

I'm not woke, however. I won't call an aberration normal just for the sake of somebody's feelings.

Species evolved with a method for procreation, and while the method is used by us more recreationally than with the intent to procreate,
it still represents physical normality.

Gay people have no culpability whatsoever for being abnormal, but that doesn't mean we have to regard them as normal, anymore than somebody born with twelve toes and eight fingers.

It all falls into line with my overall way of thinking, I suppose.

Everybody is entitled to equal opportunity and equal status under the law.
I regard that as an absolute until somebody actually does something genuinely heinous to forfeit it (like voting Republican, for example).
Even then, since we don't know for certain that free will actually exists, they shouldn't necessarily be punished--merely humanely euthanized for societal expedience.
ONLY if they exhibit violent antisocial behavior, however. (Like voting Republican.)

Woke doesn't work for me. Neither does "me too" long after the offending incident. That makes innocent people too vulnerable to accusation.
That's how we lose good people like Al Franken and Andrew Cuomo.

All of this helps explain my status as an economic progressive liberal that many other social liberals do not like.

But I've never believed, and will never believe, that any of us is entitled to never feel insulted or uncomfortable.
Our feelings cannot and should not be protected under the law.
