How Can Republicans Keep Supporting Such Sleazeballs? It Makes Absolutely No Sense!!

Whatever happened to selecting only the best people?

It seems like every single selection ends up being some kind of sleazeball.

If it's not illicit sex or victimizing, they are super-greedy and only look out for the super-wealthy.

And more of them end up slinking out of office in public shame or being fired than any other presidency.

And this is the party that claims the moral high ground?

How do these people go on supporting this circus?

"Sleazeballs?" Like who? Can you name some and present some evidence of their sleazeballness?

Oh! yeah! How many answers are you expecting to this thread since you banned 33 members? You only want leftist replies, right? That lets me out too. Make sure you put me on your list. I've determined that you actually have nothing of value to contribute here.

Cheney told Bush" don't worry about the deficits, Reagan proved they don't matter'[' That was another Reagan damage to the country, that caused Repubs to become debt creators. All while claiming to be fiscal conservatives.

Lefty politicians never run deficits and run up massive debt, right?

Hello Robo,

"Sleazeballs?" Like who? Can you name some and present some evidence of their sleazeballness?

Many who Trump hired are under investigation for wrongdoing. That doesn't mean they are guilty, but several have already been shown to be.

Paul Manafort - convicted
Michael Flynn - convicted
George Papadopolus - convicted
Anthony Scaramucci - 'The Mooch' so sleazy he was actually fired from Goldman Sachs! (man, that's gotta be bad.) He also supported the campaigns of President Obama (was a fund-raiser for him) and Hillary Clinton. The Mooch was so sleazy he mouthed off with colorful language was fired after just 7 days as White House Communications Director (a new record!) He lasted a short while on the Tufts University board until students and staff demanded his departure

In these situations, the evidence of either man or woman is usually unprovable, and you are pushed back to looking at character. In that the would-be Supreme court Judge has the backing of Mr Trump, I'm afraid, his trustworthiness is bound to be doubted by most people, whereas I know nothing against the lady. It is not a court case, and no-one need go to jail. Why not try to find someone acceptable to most people?

Well, I think the problem with that idea is it makes too much sense.

We don't seem to operate on that principle any more.

Avenatti CRUSHES Trump with a great come-back:

Which reminds me.

Robo asked for examples of sleazeballs Trump has supported.

Well, you know how it is.

Trump is behind someone 100% until they become too toxic.

Add Michael Cohen to the list of sleazeballs.

And Trump himself, naturally.

Who needs a fixer?

Do you have a fixer?

I don't have a fixer.

I don't have anything untoward which needs fixing.

Most people don't.

Do you?

Why should we support a President who does?

We shouldn't !

Kavanaugh was selected because he has a history of making pro-corporate/anti worker decisions. he has also backed the imperial presidency. He is a backer of the plutocracy. He is a perfect fit for Trump and the far rightys. they do not care about what he did to women, just like Trump. Brett is a perfect fit for the right wing agenda.

The problem with that kind of thinking, namely, 'That was long ago, he was young then, he has straightened up, he doesn't do that any more, he's not the same guy he was, blah blah blah.

The problem with that is if you agree he probably did the deed, but he's not admitting it or showing any remorse, or saying how he has changed, then he's lying to get on the SCOTUS, and he's perjuring himself.

We can't let him off the hook for that if we don't hold him to the fire for lying!

He was lying in these hearings long before the topic became Ford; that should have been the end of him right there, but these hearings are noting but theater.

Hello Nordberg,

And he is assaulting Ford once again...by saying (or strongly implying) that she is a liar.

I listened to her testimony.

My instincts tell me that Kavanaugh did what she alleges he did.

Her testimony was right on the button.

He laughed then...he enjoyed himself then.

I suspect his is not laughing nor enjoying himself now.

The chickens have come home to roost.

Why on Earth would she put herself through this very public spectacle unless Kav really did it?

She has spent her whole life trying to put this behind her.

But it has been there the whole time.

Because it really happened.

That's what I think.

But now that he's on record for saying otherwise, he can't fess up anymore. It's too late for that. If he tells the truth now and apologizes like he should, and asks the Republicans to consider that he's a changed man and he's distinguished himself, he can't do that without committing perjury. So he has to stick with the lie.

And I think the Republicans are going to give him a big fat free pass on perjury.

I think they are going to believe just like everybody else that he really did it, and they are going to tell themselves that was a long time ago and he's a good guy now, but none of them can say that without admitting that they will look the other way on perjury as long as they get their guy on the SCOTUS.

Pretty sleazy.

The swamp has not been drained.

trump gave Kav the blueprint, saying you deny, deny, deny. Then get angry and scream. Rightys find that compelling testimony.

Hello Nordberg,

trump gave Kav the blueprint, saying you deny, deny, deny. Then get angry and scream. Rightys find that compelling testimony.

He's angry at himself for lying and then having to live the lie.

Very stressful.

All these hearings and testimonies are making it hard for him to ignore his dark and sinister past.

If you did something that you try so hard to put behind you, and your victim tries so hard to put behind her, for the rest of your lives, then maybe that thing that you did was pretty bad.

kavanaugh is not showing judicial temperament. He is aggressive, rude and arrogant. He attacked senators, mid-sentence and was extremely rude to Klobuchar. He cried like a kid at the beginning. He is saying he was being wronged, yet showed anger and a temper. Hate to see him when he is drinking.

Wish we could put this whole sordid event behind us, but I doubt that will happen. I think there is more drama to come.

I still cannot understand why Grassley didn't just ask the FBI to investigate. More than likely they would have come up with very little more than what they already have...and the committee could have moved on under cover of the investigation.

I suspect Grassley is the person who gets thrown under the bus on this if Kavanaugh does not get confirmed. And, I suspect Lindsay Graham gets his wish to become the AG. He really should have become an actor instead of a politician. Acting potentially pays more for a guy with his qualifications.

you seem to think conservatives are actually voting for a predator and we dont mind. The truth of the matter is, we categorically deny fords fake claims. so kavanaugh is the best people.

Because they have no SET morals

their morals bob and weave as needed for them to obtain and retain power over others

Let us pray for the day when ...
