You are wise beyond your years.
I've simply made some of those mistakes myself and eventually learned from them.
After some time of being caught up in the "torches and pitchforks" mindset, I took a step back from it and I realized, "so long as I hold an 'all or nothing' attitude on this issue, I'm actually accomplishing NOTHING instead of accomplishing SOMETHING"... I've also learned that there are a good number of "Christian apologists" who actually WANT to be losers on the abortion issue so that they can continue grifting off of it.
I then started noticing other things with my "new eyes", including why the conservative agenda all but never actually advances forward compared to how the Marxist agenda keeps slowly/steadily advancing forward. This is where people like Damocles and (current moniker) Litmus come into play. They get overly emotional over a single issue and then toss their ball and go home instead of supporting a person who is actually fighting to advance the conservative "working class" agenda in general, but especially when it comes to this nation's economic, energy, and foreign policies.
Litmus is willing to get overly emotional and throw all of that away because of his view that all h1b visas are bad, because, "globalist fascist corporatist whatever". Damocles is willing to get overly emotional and throw all of that away because of his view on one of Trump's Truth Social posts, a view that is based on a context-removed erroneous understanding of the post. Now, they aren't the only two, but they are the two examples on JPP that I have run across most recently. Plenty of other generally conservative voters do the same thing with plenty of other (vital to them) issues.
When it all comes down to it, taking small steps forward is what actually results in forward movement (or "sooooo much winninggggg", as Trump likes to say). Crossing one's arms and pouting until Marxists shove one backwards is an action that ultimately results in backward movement (or, as is commonly said in reference to the GOP these days, "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory").
This is a large reason why MAGA (and the iterations that came before it) came to be... Many decent hard-working people have grown sick and tired of the largely-compromised-GOP's loser mentality and want to actually take forward steps for a change... want to actually WIN for a change.
