Israel should aim thousands of similar unguided Qassam style rockets at Gaza and say for ever Qassam rocket you fire at Israel you will get two fired back at you. The people of Gaza would get tired of Israeli rockets landing randomly on them. It would be a cheap solution for Israel.

I think they will. Israel has given fair warning for all Palestinian civilians to leave the area. My guess is Step #2 is to start a building-by-building search and destroy followed bulldozers to scrape the entire area clean.

I honestly think they will wait a bit first. They just mobilizied 300,000 reservists and Netanyahu was quite clear this would take a while. Im reasonably sure no Israelis are going to go into Gaza in the next 24 hours. In 48 hours maybe just some positioning but still outside gaza.

Time for the IDF to treat Gaza like the caves on Iwo Jima. Clean them out and burn them out. Leave nothing for anyone to come back to.

Sounds about right. The US carrier groups are moving into position too to cover the backdoor from Lebanon. It'll take a couple days for the CIA and USAF to move drone assets into the region plus coordinate with Saudi Arabia.
Let's not forget that SA and Iran aren't friends, they are competitors and rivals for control of the Persian Gulf...which Iran considers to be an Iranian sea since it has their name on it.
It's unlikely the US will have more involvement than air power and some special forces operations to rescue Americans.
