The front desk lady I fired for forging Rx's was a chain smoker who could somehow afford about $900/mo. on cigs and ate greasy burgers for lunch every day became eligible for the expanded Medicaid.

While Trump appeals to and serves the interests of the well-monied for whom this matters not at all, he has a HUGE following in the rank and file of America...the working people, including the working poor . They are going to be badly hurt.
The working poor FLOCKED to Trump (This article). I suppose they believed the easy fixes Trump promised. Now they'll sadly find out what so many others have learned from relying on Trump to do something for them: That isn't his thing. He doesn't care about them and now that he's gotten the Oval again (and without overthrowing the government, this will be his last round) so I suspect pretty much EVERYTHING they hoped he would do for them is now going to be gone like a mist.
It is sad that nearly 50% of the voters in the US will be surprised. But this will not be the last time.

Hey, the working poor who rely on this sort of thing helped put Trump in the White House. Thankfully he's done with them and doesn't need them anymore so it's going to be cut. Because it doesn't matter.

The topic is cutting Medicaid and how they are going to cut Medicaid , the program that helps low income people pay for the health care they need. and when it gets cut it hurts these people and they will not be getting the health care they have now and a lot of them voted for Trump and these cuts.
So when it happens it is what they wanted what they voted for and got so they shouldn't be crying about it.

Don't know, I don't smoke and I am not on medicaid ,
The program is for low income people that need medical help.
and there are some MAGA that get it and now they want to cut a program they use. And when they need it and they can't get what they need it is their own fault.

I accepted medicaid for a couple of years until I realized it wasn't worth it. I know better than most how it works. More correctly, how it doesn't work.
There is a need for it , but only for those that truly can't afford it. I had patients on it that drove up to their appointments in their brand new Cadillac Escalade.
