How the Mortgage Interest Deduction Could Change

I am loving the knots Desh is twisting herself into. The IRS her favorite gobblement organization defines rental property as passive income whether you actively manage or not. Don't bitch to me. Bitch to Obama and his irs

I think addressing other posters with derogatory cracks about their sex is immature. Same goes for questioning their political stances. I get tired of being accused of "swinging my balls" or remarks about my "size," just because I can't fire back without looking like a jerk.

No need to call people "sugar" or "sweetie."

How heartless that Desh would compare collecting rent once a month to someone working 60 hours a week in a steel mill. The sheer lack of compassion is stunning. Well I guess that is how those 1%ers are

Luckily I don't care what you thinjk

Man, it was something I heard in the fraternity house years ago. It was funny. I'm sorry I offended.

I didn't take it that you meant it offensively. Yes, it's not a great term, but since you normally are polite, I assumed you were just joking. No foul here...

I have to say I agree with Threedee. ILA and Superfreak using "dear", "sweetie", "sugar" when they obviously don't mean it is offensive. It's also demeaning because they only use it when they're putting down women.

Threedee, hope I haven't questioned your sexuality or make cracks about your sex in any of my answers to you.

I will take it under advisement, although I would take your critiques a little more seriously if you ever directed at your fellow females. Apparently it gets you all jazzed up when they are putting down and demeaning men. That doesn't seem to garner your attention. Maybe you are only wired to be offended by certain language when it is uttered by someone not of your kind. Hmmmmmm

read it real slow.

I manage my own properties idiot

Apparently Tekkychick doesn't mind when you insult people. Odd isn't it?

But, nevertheless. Here is another article for you to peruse. It only matters how the IRS defines it. Surely you aren't saying the IRS i.e. the gobblement is wrong are you? I know you didn't like Wiki even though you use it all the time. Maybe it isn't a good source for you anymore. So I found you another.

According to the IRS, there are only two sources for passive income. The first is rental activity (2). This category includes real estate rental activities (unless under certain circumstances) and all other rental activities (even if you are an active participant)(1). The second source is a business that the taxpayer does not materially participate in (2). This usually means that you're a non-participating partner in a business. That's it. Just because you make money without having to work for it does not automatically make it passive income (2).

As I said before don't be pissed at me. Be pissed at the gobblement, which we know can never happen because the gobblement is good. The gobblement cares. It is OK that you are a 1%er gouging the little guy. It is OK that the IRS sees you as no different that Paris Hilton. Embrace your inner capitalist. Go forth. Speak truth to power sister.

I will accept your apology anytime you are willing to offer it up.
