HUGE!! Trump to end birthright citizenship!!!

Just an election week gimmick, the Supreme Court will not allow it, even with two Trump appointees.

I would overlook the blatant constitutional violation if we could find a way to revoke the birthright citizenship of every registered Republican and deport them to North Korea via airlift and drop.

Think of all the space that would create for new Honduran Democrats.

The Supreme Court does not have authority to change the Constitution of the United States.

It did not change the Constitution. It settled a case based on constitutional principles.

If you think this involved changing the Constitution, then they obviously can change it since Wong Kim Ark was declared a citizen.

False dichotomy. There is no conflict here.

There is a conflict if you say the 14th amendment encourages illegals by making children of illegals born in the U. S. citizens but federal law prohibits encouraging illegals from entering the country. I don't think Congress can pass laws contradicting the Constitution.

Trump is not changing the Constitution. The Supreme Court does not have authority to change the Constitution.

Trump is trying to change the meaning of the Constitution through an executive order. The Supreme Court has the power to interpret the Constitution and has done so hundreds of times--so they obviously have the power to do so even if you disagree

It is written clearly. You just don't know what 'jurisdiction' means.

Then why are all those people born here American citizens whether from parents who are citizens, legal non-citizens, or illegals?

They are given U. S. passports, birth certificates, driver's licenses, voter registration certificates as American citizens. Those things which you say cannot happen do happen every day.

The Supreme Court Says the Health Care Mandate is a Constitutional Tax. In its long-awaited decision on the Affordable Care Act, the Supreme Court has ruled that Congress can require people to either have health insurance or pay a tax if they don't. ... Thus, the mandate as created by the ACA is constitutional.

The Supreme Court does not have the authority to change the Constitution of the United States.

Nonsense.

Anyone coming to America can't be considered an "illegal" until they break one of our laws.

If they arrive and request asylum then they wouldn't be "illegals".

So much for your interpretation.

An illegal immigrant has already broken U.S. law just by coming here illegally.

And since the constitution is the highest LAW of the land, immigrants are indeed subject to it.

The Constitution of the United States defines and describes the structure of the federal government. It applies to the federal government (with certain limited portions applying to the States themselves), not to any immigrant.
