HUGE!! Trump to end birthright citizenship!!!

You are dealing with an asshole who is a staunch Donald Trump supporter...

...and who, in an attempt to appear intellectual, recently said "There is no country called America" (he demands that "The United States" be used.)

I wonder why the guy he supports...and the ignorant supporters of the guy he supports...often wear hats announcing, "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?"

The problem with America is poor education..

The 14th amendment has NOTHING to do with naturalized citizenship or the process of naturalization.

The lack of education is a serious problem.. Trump is also poorly educated.

You are absolutely correct on all these things, Kudzu.

Trump is also poorly educated.

I think Donald Trump probably got the best "education" money can buy.

He just is not very bright...and the education was of no value in making him any brighter.

His sons seem not to be very bright at all. "Not being bright" seems to run in the family.

It is commonly said that "money cannot buy happiness."

I think we ought to pay more attention to the fact that "money cannot buy intelligence."

He's not bright at all and he has no curiosity.. He doesn't read.. has no desire for mastery.. This is a real low point in our history.. Especially since Trump wants Americans to pledge loyalty to him rather than the Constitution.

So what? No court has the authority to change the Constitution of the United States or of any State.

They do, however, have the power to rule if an action is constitutional. Their obligation to the Constitution and their ability to rule on all law per the constitution gives them this power.

This belief that 1/3 of the government has no balance of powers authority is simply wishes, not reality.

[FONT=&quot]Its original meaning refers to the political allegiance of an individual and the jurisdiction that a foreign government has over that individual.

The Constitution and it's amendments says what it says.

No need for your bat-shit-crazy Right-Wing Judge Kavanaugh/Stephan Miller and NRA interpretations!

This is a stupid propaganda piece.

Are you confused? The 14th amendment doesn't grant naturalized citizenship to foreign nationals.. and has NOTHING to do with naturalization.. But, it does recognize (NOT grant) the US citizenship of children born on US soil under US jurisdiction.

No, it doesn't. You don't seem to understand what 'grant' means either.

Didn't you write this bs?

Foreign nationals are not "granted" citizenship.. If their babies are born on US soil they are natural born US citizens.. and they are not "granted" US citizenship either.

Trump supports the Constitution of the United States. False dichotomy.

Trump has not violated any part of the Constitution. The Supreme Court does not have the power to change or interpret the Constitution.

Nope. They are under the jurisdiction that their mother is. The 14th amendment does not grant citizenship to either foreign nationals nor their children.

No court has the authority to interpret or change the Constitution of the United States or of any State.
They can interpret a law, and strike it down as unconstitutional, but that is all.

Ruling something unconstitutional means they are deciding whether Congress or the president has the power to perform that act. That decision requires interpreting the Constitution.

For example, when the court ruled states cannot prohibit a woman from having an abortion the first six months, they were interpreting the Constitution because they decided it violated a woman's right to privacy between her and her doctor. The Constitution obviously does not state whether states can prohibit abortion so it required the court to interpret the meaning of the 9th, 14th, 1st, 3rd, and 5th amendments at is applied to state action.

The people are not authorized to change the Constitution of the United States. Only the States are.

The states cannot do it by themselves--it requires 2/3 vote of Congress and 3/4 of the staes . The people do not change it but put pressures on their federal and state representatives to propose and ratify amendments.

He is smart by the measure that he is all that he wants to be. His failing is moral. Mastery in school was never on his radar.
He was also brought up in a morality void background, quite obviously. Money was king, white male entitlement for the elites
was the given. The bright side is that he on some level knows this, not being truly dumb. He knows he could never be an intellect
or someone who would do great things for people. That is gratifying to me.

WRONG. The Constitution of the United States and of the States is the supreme law of the land, not the court!

No court is above the Constitution of the United States or of any State.

Agreed, and the federal courts interpret the meaning of the Constitution--the states do not determine its meaning.
