Which is what I said. What part of, "Yes. The republicans should have given the kid an immunity as they were expected to do by the left." means that I think they should have attacked the kid?

You are getting ridiculous, and not a little insane, when you take a statement like, "Yeah, that was bad." and pretend it means. "Boy! I think they are just GREAT!"

Because you and SF are presenting this as if the dems did something wrong, and the republicans should have "stayed above it all".

Give me a break! The fact is, representative examples have always been used in politics, and always will be. It is a simple and important attemtp to humanize the statistic.

I personally think the right went bugf*ck nuts because the kid was white! Their time-honored methods for demonizing social programs have been to put a black face on them. They don't want no white kid out there, saying, look at me, I'm just like YOUR kid.

They went crazy, over something that is absolutely normal and done all the time in politics. The democrats did NOTHING wrong. This is not a case of, well the dems did something low class but what can you expect from them? the r's should have stayed above the fray.

They should react with outrage, if anyone did any such thing.

I feel sorry for the guy. It sickens me that fat bloviaters who yellowed out of their own war (vietnam) use this poor guy's sacrifice to hide behind.

But I feel nothing other than a terrible sadness for the man himself. If anyone attacked him, I would say they have their own sickness.
 
Its the stalking part that's creepy. Showing up at the kids house...interogating the neighbors...checking the county assessor's office on the value of their property...calling the kids house.

To my knowledge, no democratic groups have ever stalked a small business owner and his family to see if he really "deserved" those tax cuts bush gave him.

Dressing up your 8 year old and teaching her to act like a sex object while parading on a stage may contribute to the fact that some horrific sex offenders will have more access to their photographs, etc.

I'd say it was the parents at fault in those cases not the child. I would not have my girls dressing like women and acting like sexual objects in any public venue at that age.

Now, if for some reason one of those nuts decided to start reading this board, they could "go live with the news, confirmed by BB on JPP" that CodePink are terrorist supporters and vegetarians are a threat to america.

Good catch. This got started on rightwing message boards. And I totally know what you mean Darla - there is a history there. While there's enough nutjobs in cyberspace to go around, the rightwing nutjobs have demonstrated a real proprensity to sleaziness, stalking, and sheer insane hatred. You know what I mean.....

But, its really disturbing that the rightwing elite power structure picked this up and ran with it. Rush, as you mentioned. Its even being reported that Staffers in Senator McConnels office were involved in this.


There's a real sickness here. I think you used that word. Its a good word to describe it
