Exactly, that's what I am trying to say. I am sure you could find something vile posted by some anonymous poster on the Democratic underground, or whatever. But does Keith Olbermann run with it? No way! It's insane.
And yes I do know what you mean, and believe me I have so been making those comparisons in my head since this happened. That's why I'm honestly not the least bit surprised. Disgusted, but not surprised.

I drew a different point. I didn't "miss" the point.

I think emotive politics make for bad decisions regardless of who is promoting the emotive reasoning.
 
I was gone all day yesterday so didn't get a chance to react to this. This WHOLE ordeal is a sign that the right-wing is in a tailspin right now. To do the things they did to this family and then for the right wing hit men like Rush to grab hold of what a "freeper" verified is just a symptom of seeing their party splinter like it is. RR's talking about a third party candidate, members of congress retiring, hypocrites trying to get laid in bathrooms but doing their best to deny rights to ...themselves. I am very hopeful that this destroys the ultra right and the party becomes the party of Eisenhower and Goldwater again. If it does, there will be a mass migration of center dems becoming center repubs. It would be a great thing for moderate americans
