I don't see the problem.

Actually, I converted it from scientific notation. it was 4.something x 10 -5 So it's .00004.

No need for scientific notation.
10,000/250,000,000 = 0.00004
^^That is not a percentage until it is multiplied by 100.
0.00004 x 100 = 0.004%
Again, I agree with your premise. Just correcting an arithmetic error.

People are making a big stink about gun violence, especially mass shootings, which account for a mere one in a thousand gun deaths. Let's crunch some numbers here. It is estimated that there are about 250 million guns in this country. Roughly 10,000 people die as a result of gun violence every year. So, if we do a little math... 10,000/250,000,000 we find that only .00004 percent of guns are used to commit homicides every year. Actually, it's even less than that since many of those guns are used in multiple homicides. So there you have it. Guns are not the problem. The numbers do not lie.

We have more guns per capita than Yemen followed by Switzerland.. Yemen is a "shithole"... Switzerland has very little gun violence.

And we have over 249,000,000 guns that haven't killed anyone. Pretty amazing, when you think about it. If guns were really the problem, the streets would be running with blood.

Most Americans don't own guns.. The numbers go way up because a few Americans own lots of guns.

30,000+ deaths every year. Math is not your friend.

Ruh roh. Along with being a bible thumping idiot, you’re also one of those “if/would” fucktards.

Bad combo there, Festus.

Right...guns are not the problem.

The problem is that Americans are more violent and barbaric that all those countries that have lots fewer guns per capita.

We just like to kill each other.

Guns are not the problem.

In fact, our fearless leader claims that the best way to combat the problem we are discussing...is by introducing more guns.

Jesus H. Christ. What have we come to?

Actually, nearly a third of adults own a gun. That's more than a few. Half of those are owned by males, a small percentage of which own an average of 17 weapons each.

A third of Americans own MULTIPLE guns.. Its some sort of identity thing.

Not true. Not from what I've read. A third of Americans do own guns, but the majority, including women, who are buying more guns, own a single firearm.

Get back with us,when a friend or relatives brains are in the street.

That 30,000 gun deaths include suicides and police shootings. The actual number of homicides is only about 10,000.

The number of gun deaths, thumper, is 30,000+. Every year. Year in and year out.

Why do you wish to eliminate suicides? An inconvenient truth?

Get back with us,when a friend or relatives brains are in the street.

They would be more likely to spatter the other guys brains, since they are armed and proficient in the use firearms. See how that works? The way you stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. The police will only get there in time to clean up the mess, and most likely will never find whoever did it. The only one who protect you is yourself. And that is done with a gun.

It's called exercising a right protected in the Constitution to do something I choose to do whether you gun haters like it or not.

Almost a third of Americans use one of the means tested social welfare programs. That means they are getting something they didn't earn, that others were mandated to fund, and for which no specific authority in the Constitution exists for them to be able to do so.

Do you see the difference when it comes to the Constitution?
