I guess it is time for President Trump to declare Martial Law

As you see I have quite a few haters here. Too bad for them my OCD experience is quite useful in avoiding illness. I haven't been sick in years unless you count kidney stones.
 
I would be surprised if daffy isn't thinking about martial law. it would fit with his internal fascistic radar. He only thinks of himself and his power. If he finally figures out his election is in trouble., he may pull the string.

It's too late; Trump already fucked up the initial response and now it's snowballing because of him and only him.

But I do think he would try to use this to declare martial law and cancel the elections he and the GOP are sure to lose specifically because of fuckups like this.

Of course he was. He was thinking in those terms from the beginning. How else can you explain the missteps taken in the early days of this? He sees this as an opportunity to declare martial law and cancel the elections he and the GOP are sure to lose specifically because of fuckups like the federal response to the virus.

Here is why I know this is a big nothing burger.

China announced early January meaning that this has been out there since probably early December. Given global travel, citizens of the US have been exposed and infected since back in December maybe even earlier.

OK. We have not seen an increase in ER visits in that time. If we were really truly dealing with a deadly virus, our healthcare system would have been overwhelmed long before China announced. It would have been overwhelmed in January and February. Here we are in March and nothing. If this had never been announced, you would have chalked it up to having the flu or a cold.

It is a big nothing burger from an infectious disease standpoint. There are other things you should be worried about

If you've no financial cover you can't afford not to work, so you spread the disease, obviously. If you don't care whether people die, you just go on as you are - if the mugs will take it. What would I do differently? - pay those who can't afford not to work under your weird system.
