First of all, that was funny as all get out. Secondly, if I could return to the days of my childhood.....late 70's to mid 80's.....I'd do it in a heartbeat. But then I had a great childhood. Dad worked hard to provide for us 5 kids and there were slim times but there wasn't a better time in my life. I understand those who want to "go back" but also sympathize with those who would never "go back." There are things that are better now, politically, medically, racially, and technologically. There are things that are worse now, politically, morally and racially. Beck's a nut and Hannity's a nut....both of the Limbaugh sort. O'Reilly sometimes can be reasonable but you can tell his political bent. The thing is that this is all life. Changes happen, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. You do what you can to hold on to those things that you esteem but in the end you deal with it....and don't cry about it for goodness' sake.
