I miss the America of my childhood! I'm scared!

Well said. The dude also grew up in the seventies and would trade the social freedom to the uptight vibe of today. But the Dude didn't earn a lot of coin in the seventies though he thought his paper route earning $100 month made him rich compared to an allowance of $5. The Dude never went to a concert where tree wasn't freely passed amoung strangers. Today kids get kicked out of concerts for smoking cigaretts. The Dude banked enough coin in the easy money 90's to fund his non ambitious livestyle without a permanent gig. That I would not trade for the need to be private these days.
Gimmy 70's personal freedom with 90's easy money if I were greedy, but I'm not

well we are glad to find out that Hannity, Beck and Limbaugh are all NUTS..

so that must mean that the daily show is SANE..

The Daily Show is comedy. They do parodies of several political figures and talking heads. I am probably as socially conservative as they come and am pretty fiscally conservative as well. I don't like the health care deboggle no more than Hannity or Beck do.

The thing is, their shows are "opinion" shows and they are supposed to be "experts" telling their "opinion." That's great and I'm glad they have a place to do that and such a wide audience. I agree with their stances on things more often than I disagree. But my "opinion" (and I'm entitled to such) is that by going to such extremes they make easy targets for shows like the Daily Show and people like Stuart, thus damaging a place of common ground that could be built with people in the middle. I really think it hurts the conservatives in general....the same way I think nuts like Bill Mahr hurt the liberal side of the political spectrum.

I wasn't trying to put you down, I just noticed you said all thee of them were nuts, so I pointed that out...And I agree with a lot your opinions more than you may know..:good4u:

No problem. Calling someone a "nut" is just one of my by words. It's easier than saying, "here is a man who I agree with somewhat but I think he presents his ideas in a damaging way." Besides nuts aren't bad or harmful (unless one is alergic). Extreme liberalism is. :)

The conservatism of Beck and Hannity is the only show in town these days. They run the Republican party, and could possibly end the American Republic if elected.

hahahaha, now it's Beck and Hannity who are "running the Republican party"

I'm sure Rush Limbaugh will be crushed..:cof1:

LOL. This is total bull of the smelliest kind. Run the republican party....that's funny. They represent a voice of some of the republican party but certainly don't "run it." That's cute. :)
