House Democratic leaders have been urging their members to vote to table – or block – the resolutions, but a number of Democrats have been critical of Tlaib over her defense of the pro-Palestinian chant “from the river to the sea.”

Rashida's parents came from Palestine to Detroit. She has family and friends in Gaza. That does give her a different perspective than most Americans and Israeli backers. You can make all the political arguments that you want but her family, friends, and their home are being blown up by Israel. The mass of Gaza civilians are just people trying to go from one day to the next. Now they cannot. Over 50 schools and numerous hospitals have been leveled. The infrastructure is being destroyed more every day. When Netanyahoo thinks he has scored all the points he can get from Gaza, he will leave the people a terrible mess.

It passed, she has been censored.

It is still unbelievable that she, a US government official in Congress, pretty much ignored the brutal atrocities that Hamas did. Babies were burned to ashes, a man was tied up, tortured then shot in the face, family pets killed along with the family, a young woman paraded naked in public then killed and beheaded. Infants beheaded. It is disgusting just to say or write about these atrocities whether it’s done on humans or animals.

Even though she's not as resolutely pro-Israel as I am,
and that disappoints me,
she is an excellent congresswoman in my view.

I care about domestic issues a lot more than I do the Middle East.
