If not for Bill, no one would know Hillary

I don't know that I agree with the premise of this thread.

I can agree that if his name were not Bush we would never have heard of George W. However, Hillary Clinton is a driven woman. She went after Bill because of who he was and where he was going. If it were not for Bill, I think Hillary would have found another way to reach the top.

Immie

You're giving her too much credit. Ambitious, yes, but what are the chances she would have married another Presidential hopeful in Arkansas?

She would have been the head of a law firm, or something along those lines. We'd never know who she was.

Is this moron for real? Or is this supposed to be a funny troll?

I think Hiplew is genuinely someone who is either on or off meds. On the old board, he could actually engage in rational debate & sound like a completely different person.

The troll mode that we're seeing here, obviously, is "off meds"...

I don't recall lorax supporting anyone
Just bashing his dem leader 24/7 more so than the cons.:clink:

It's actually a very strong Dem field. Biden, Richardson, Edwards, Obama - I'd support any of those guys. I'd also support Gore if he decided to run.

Hillary is going to go wherever the wind is blowing. Good luck w/ that kind of "strong leadership" tops...

I agree. Biden is a bit right leaning for my tastes, but he is a smart guy, and I can't help liking him. I loved when he told that guy in the youtube debate, who called his machine gun (orwhatever) his "baby", that if that was his baby he had problems. He can be really cool, and very real.

there is something about Richardson that really annoys me though, I don't know what it is. But I think they're all better candidates than Hillary is.

Richardson needs to drop out and run for that New Mexico senate seat. That's an automatic pickup for Dems - and we need all the help we can get, in our march towards a filibuster-proof 60 senate majority.

I hope Gore runs, but I kind of doubt it. I've been a huge Gore fan since the early 1990s.

My biggest knock on Hillary is about Iraq. But, the Dems are also blowing it if they don't get someone who will stand up for working americans and against all these phony trade deals.

I have problems with all of them, but they are relatively small compared to the problems I have with Hillary. I know what you mean about Richardson; he tries too hard sometimes. Biden will have a tough time in the general because of his long Senate career, but he has been great in the debates (I love it when he just answers "yes" or "no" to a more personal question. That guy who called his gun "baby" was nuts). Obama IS pretty green, and Edwards says some things that get him into trouble.

Any one of them is light years ahead of Hillary.

right Richardson is closer to me with his smart stance on energy and medical marijuana.
Biden must be a low tax guy or get out of Iraq now.
Both are less than longshots however.

It's Hillary or Obama:clink:

Why do you hate hispanics?

;)

I think it's the way he talks, he drones. And I think what Onceler said about him trying too hard, is true too.

I know he's a favorite of yours, which figures. Do you put people to sleep when you talk too? It's ok you can be honest, it feels good to be honest SF. Unload.

I think it is because he has appeal outside of the Democratic Party. As soon as you see SF thinks he is a good candidate you immediately want to reject him...
