Marco Rubio's parents were not citizens of the United States when he was born.. . .

So based on what the PP administration asked the Court to do regarding birthright citizenship, Marco would not be an American, thus not elegable to run for President!!!

factually though, his parents fixed the public record while he was still a kid. When they naturalized in 1975, it would of included him as well. The only reason it didn't is he was already a "birthright citizen"

The issue is did the parents come here legally with the intent to reside here permanently and become citizens... Justice Alito brings in a key point ..."you can't establish a legal permanent domicile somewhere you are illegally present and subject to removal at anytime"...

This is entirely incorrect, as usual from Jarod. Based on what the Powerful Potentate (PP) says he would still be a citizen if they were legal residents (which they were)...

Trump's "PP administration" policy on birthright citizenship:​


The Trump administration's 2025 executive order on birthright citizenship attempted to narrow the interpretation. It directed agencies not to recognize automatic citizenship for certain U.S.-born children where:


  • The mother was unlawfully present (undocumented) and the father was neither a citizen nor a lawful permanent resident, or
  • The mother's presence was lawful but temporary (e.g., tourist, student, or work visa) and the father was neither a citizen nor a lawful permanent resident.

Crucially, the order explicitly stated that it would not affect "the entitlement of other individuals, including children of lawful permanent residents." In other words, children born in the U.S. to parents who held green cards (lawful permanent residents) would still qualify for citizenship under the policy the administration is pushing.

The issue is, Does the Constitution grant citizenship to people born here. If it does, Trump's attempt to limit it is invalid.
