Out of all the cheap beers I've tasted, PBR was definitely the most palatable.

You slap a big price tag on something and people are going to think it's high quality. That's all there is to it. That's why PBR is considered the leetest of beers in China and the awfulest of beers in America. Just the placebo effect.

Eh.... not really. PBR is cheap because it is mass produced and has a very large market. Microbrews have neither, and typically require higher quality ingredients to make.
