Congratulations. I take it its the same guy you have been dating? how long you planning to stay engaged?

Also not sure the kind of guy he is, but.. a little advice if you have crazy families... shield him from it. give him the honeymoon to plan and don't make him do anything else except show up. LOL

We sure wouldn't want women getting all uppity and thinking that they were equal to men or anything sill like that. Who knows what sort of destruction that would lead to!


Passages like these are more about controlling the people than about worshipping God.

Perhaps SM is saying that you can only have true equality in a marriage if you marry someone of the same sex?

The post you quoted reminded me of a circa 1950 GH article that a friend copied for me when I got married, about the wife's proper place, duties, etc. All these years later, it's just funny.

I have seen several of those over the years. They strike me as distinctly taliban-ish in their desire to see women controlled.
