Striking a deal with the lawlessly hacked in Putin puppet tRump on a mission to destroy Democracy from within and who's un American insurgency coronavirus murdered over 200,000 American is like striking a deal with the devil which is un American. Actually what got your panties into a knot to drop the 'F' bomb?

She's almost as inarticulate and meandering as Joke Biden. She starts off by saying her bill / position is about "honoring workers." I don't think workers need to be "honored" by her or anyone else in a bill designed to assist them economically.

As a fellow Conservative, I need a bit of clarification on your stance here. I work as a Transit Operator and have been literally on the front lines in this pandemic since day one. So, the question is: do you think we as front line workers should get hazardous duty pay if it were made available through the Fed?

How many free paid days off have you taken because of COVID?

How many paid days off have you gotten because your work was not required because of a steep drop in ridership?

Not including my two weeks of paid vacation and three personal days that were owed me because of my CBA, a grand total of one "stress" day and I used that for the most stressful thing in the world-moving.

ZERO! We had no layoffs at all. Now, some of our Paratransit drivers were reassigned to remote cleaning details for the buses (they get additional pay for it), but not a driver, mechanic, clerk, supervisor, etc. was laid off. Remarkable, isn't it?

Pelosi calling CNN conservative is pretty hilarious...

Anyway, the relief bill is a weird issue. On the one hand, I'm usually against handouts. On the other hand, the government doesn't normally force a huge chunk of the economy to close. So, in a way, it makes sense to bail people out since they had no choice but to close in many cases.

Still, since we've already done a corporate bailout bill and a regular relief bill, adding another relief bill to the mix will likely generate a lot of inflation. It begs the question of whether or not any gains from the bill will be eaten up by inflation.

Now I feel better. LOL. This is exactly what I want. A stimulating thread.

I do hope a mod will change the title though.

Just wondering...I get the sense that a lot of folks claiming that they are entitled to extra pay have had a very light work year, with full pay plus extra government handouts.

I am a firm no BTW with the possible exception of when PPE was clearly required but not provided, and I mean clearly with a capital "C".

If we decided collectively to not participate in threads with more than five bans I am confident that the problem would be solved in a week.

WE HAVE THE POWER!

I left a Truth Detector thread earlier because it was about the confirmation hearings and he didn't provide any links and refused to when asked.

A bit different but sure....demand standards all around.....like the God Awful OP's we have....some with nothing but a like and a tittle and others super long and almost impossible to read on purpose.....I say those start getting ignored as well.

If we raise standards, demand standards, this cant help but to be a better place.

On this I will have to respectfully disagree (imagine that). I, along with others in public transit, healthcare, and first responders are out on the front lines being exposed 500 different ways to Tuesday ON TOP OF dealing with the usual assholes both on the buses and trains and driving their four wheelers in ways that would make you cringe, without a single "thank you" from management or our governmental leaders. In my case, since I drive fixed route (big bus), it was balls to the wall full steam ahead.
