“Income inequality is not the Problem”

It was wrong in so many ways. Johnson made big bucks off L.T.V. His radio stations were nice, but when he was in office LTV was a bit scandalous.
Gates did not make an operating system, he stole one and used it to get an opening into IBM who had no PC expertise and was too slow to reach markets. His great idea was to license the OS to computer manufacturers.
 
Income inequality alarms lots of the super-rich. They can run, but cannot hide. History has shown a rapid redistribution of income does not go well for the abusive wealthy, like the French revolution. That is why you are hearing about guaranteed income for the poor. There are wealthy who know that our wealth gap is worse than the Gilded Age. That did not end well. The plutocrats are slowly and steadily gaining more and more power and control. The conclusion includes that trickle-down does not work.

Indeed.....for lazy ass liberals that refuse to work for a living but would rather live of the sweat of their neighbor's brow, its quite a problem. That's why you hate Mr. Trump......the gravy train ride with biscut wheels is over. Work or starve. How do you reduce poverty? You make all able bodied (those who can work but refuse) work for any government assistance. Trump has kicked over 200,000 lazy ass able bodied leeches off the rolls of welfare. Its a good start. There is quite a difference between those who actually need help and those that abuse the system through fraud. The US TAXPAYER loses a total of almost 11% of earmarked taxes that go to the state run welfare system....that equates to almost 80BILLION a year, just pissed away to listless leeches. :bigthink:


INCOME INEQUAILTY? Just another left wing buzz word to keep idiots divided and separated in order for the elite to control. The one thing the left does not want? Nationalism and UNITY. Reality: You can't destroy the bread maker and then expect to get more bread. When was the last time you received a check addressed PAY TO THE ORDER of....from anyone carrying a bagged lunch to work? Over 80% of those supposed evil 1%ers.....are self made. Meaning they started their lives totally equal with YOU. Don't bitch because you don't have the desire or the drive to become something other than a peon that votes for a living.

"Rapid redistribution of income" doesn't go well for anyone, really. The French Revolution is as good an example as any. Right after the revolution, you had leftist extremists that killed anyone they deemed a threat (the Reign of Terror). It's not surprising that this revolution was somewhat an inspiration for the Bolshevik Revolution -- which was even bloodier.

If we got rid of the current welfare state and replaced it with a UBI, that would probably be an improvement, although it would require a low stipend to be functional.
