Inflation easing considerably

Consumers grew more optimistic about inflation in November amid expectations that both food and energy price increases would be less severe in the coming year, according to a New York Federal Reserve survey released Monday.

The central bank’s Survey of Consumer Expectations indicated that respondents see one-year inflation running at a 5.2% pace, down 0.7 percentage point from the October reading.

That’s the lowest level for that reading since August 2021 — the early days of the inflation surge that has gripped the economy and pushed the Fed into a series of aggressive interest rate hikes that is likely to continue this week. The most recent annual inflation rate as gauged by the consumer price index was 7.7% in October.

In addition to the brightened short-term outlook, the inflation-rate projection for three years from now edged lower to 3%, down 0.1 percentage point from the previous month. A relatively new data series reflecting the five-year outlook declined by the same level, to 2.3%.

Whatever FedCo says it is during a D presidency, double it.

You are a first-rate conspiracy nut.
The Democrat party is a conspiracy.
Biden is a president
Biden was never elected.
and doing a good job.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
He has attacked every problem that came his way.
He has CAUSED the problems!
I suppose you miss the good old days of a prez bitching and insulting the press
Yup.
and anyone who dared to question him.
He didn't.
To you, that is presidential.
Being President IS presidential.
A secret committee? Are you that nuts?
The Democrat party is not secret, but it is a conspiracy.

It is Democrats that fear monger the flu every winter.
On the topic of "healthcare" (aka Big Harma pill popping and needle jabbing), its sad to me how many people don't ask any questions about what they are experiencing. Such as, "Why would I need to be tested for COVID-19 when my respiratory system is perfectly healthy and I walked in here to get my knee pain checked out"?

I'm glad I have a decent doctor who isn't indoctrinated, but he's getting up there in age.

You believe the lies that they tell you. We have had inflation for many decades, no matter who was in office. This inflation is worse because Putin's war jacked up prices in energy and food. That is extremely obvious to any intelligent observer.
Sadly, the only real tool the government has to fight inflation is raising interest rates until the economy slows down. That results in unemployment. They cannot force companies to make smaller profits. That would also work.

We have had inflation for many decades. It was started by a Democrat. Raising interest rates has nothing to do with inflation. The Fed is still printing money hand over fist.

Biden maintains a 7.1% inflation rate and his worshippers are excited.......Make America Poorer Again seems to be their goal........

Extreme revolutions such as this want a population that is easy to control, which means stupid, fragile, afraid, and not middle class.

There are two types of revolutions historically:

The first type is a slow one that ends with a small but powerful class of people taking control of everything. These take decades, even centuries to occur. They usually happen in periods of extended peace and prosperity.

The second type is one where the middle and upper middle class decide they've had enough of a government resulting from the first type. These occur suddenly and last a short time, a few years at most. Depending on the goals and intellect of the upper middle class driving such a revolution, it can be anywhere from a house cleaning to a complete overturning of the previous system. The house cleaning sort are more common, where an oppressive government and ruler are replaced by a new oppressive government and ruler. The overturning type are less common, like the American revolution where for the first time in history there was to be a government by the population at large with the government put on a very short leash.

The bigger issue is that they dont know that the reason for it is that we are in an economic crash, one which will be long, and it will be nasty.

This revolution is about the elites deciding to enslave the rest of us.

They get off on conducting abuse.

These are shit people.

That is the first type of revolution. A very famous one from history is Rome becoming imperial with an emperor rather than a republic with a representative government, as but one example.

I was listening to someone recently say that we are ending almost exactly like Rome did.

I was listening to someone recently say that we are ending almost exactly like Rome did.

Not exactly, but in a very general sense, yes. Rome became so successful, so rich and powerful, that it also became complacent, indolent, and corrupt. Those very things allowed a dictatorship to take over. Peace and prosperity did Rome in.

And the sense that it is obvious to anyone who is not a moron what is coming, but everyone goes about their day ignoring it, they cant face it, they are too shit quality of people.
