Insurrection: Revolting Against Civil Authority Or Government

All true, excepted the "whipped into a frenzy" part, and they are being prosecuted. You cannot change the law to meet your standards for punishment. The story can be told just as truthfully whether they are charged with insurrection or not. If we search we may find some explanations of why they chose not to prosecute for insurrection.

One thought is that it would make martyrs out of people among their supporters. It is hard to call a person a martyr convicted for beating a law enforcement officer.

Did you answer my question of whether the BLM rioters could be charged with insurrection for attacking a federal building. It seemed to be a rebellion against authority.

They are all terrorists who should rot in prison.

That might be possible, but I think they would have an even more difficult time proving that. Unless some planning could be found stating an intended goal of the action.

The frenzy part is applicable as supported by the videos of the attack. I would certainly like to see stronger sentencing that we are seeing so far. I am not the only one to comment on how the sentencing appears to be very light so far. I don't know what the message is supposed to be there, that it's not so bad to attack the capitol as part of a mob? These people are guilty. They did the crime, they need to do the time. I see them getting off light.

Just for clarity on this topic. The people at the capital on Jan 6 did not want to overthrow the government. All they wanted was for the evidence or vote fraud in several states to be presented and heard by congress and the american people. The false flag operation by BLM, antifa, media, and the deep state prevented that. Freedom and Democracy died in the USA that day.

what sentence would be appropriate for vandalism and trespassing in your small mind? How about 11 months in solitary (the sentence many of them have already served)

Sounds about right.

OTOH for those who planned this then 20 years in ADX Florence is good.

Anyone who was violent should get 1-10 years depending upon their actions. There's a difference between throwing something that didn't hit anyone and attacking a police officer causing an injury.

not a relevant comment. Obstructing congress is insurrection.

That's a factor too; pleading guilty and taking the sentence thus saving We, the People's time and money should be considered when sentencing.

41 months for punching a police officer is a good start.

What would be the proper sentence for the antifa rioters in Portland who assaulted multiple cops and innocent civilians in addition to destroying public and private property? and why no outrage from you lefties about those illegal acts that went on most of the year of 2020? I thought you libs were for "equal' justice. I guess that was just rhetoric and lies, right?

Prison for criminals but it depends upon each case. where they just trespassing on public property or did they attack police? Did they break windows and loot property?

ok, one idiot. you claimed police were killed. so you lied again. the only death at the capital that day was Ashli Babbitt murdered by a capital cop when she was innocent, unarmed and threatening no one.

You're either a liar or a retard. Four Americans died that day, over 150 police officers were brutally injured and one police officer died a few days later.

Personally, I think you're not a liar. ;)

they did all those things and more. Did you sleep through 2020? How about the black retired cop who was killed defending his friend's business? any justice for him?

the double standard from you libs is why you have zero credibility, including old senile Joe and camelHo Harris.

You keep saying that but you cannot post anything proving that 4 died as a direct result of the Jan 6 actions or that 150 police were injured . You are either a liar or very uninformed.

trying to equate a race riot with insurrection just means you are mentally ill

Agreed which is why I think they should all face justice for their crimes. Why do you think I slept through the worst year in America since 1968?

I don't know but hope justice is done.

When did Libertarians become "Libs" to RWNJ and Trump cocksuckers?
