See now the Revolution has been doing exactly what I long ago said that the Revolution would do, I dont think Newts diagnosis is helpful even if it is right, and I have seen little evidence that it is right.

Newt is pretty much correct. The last three times a Democrat occupied the White House, in the mid-term elections the Democrats got creamed in Congressional elections. They also lost heavily at the state level. The odds are damn good it'll happen this time too.

Yep. If only the (R)s had found their spines, nads, and consciences and impeached and removed him the first time. The pandemic would have likely been far less worse under Pres. Pence. The (R)s would have kept the Senate, the White House, and gained even more seats in the House. And the terrorist attack of Jan. 6 would not have happened.

It was nothing compared to the pasting the Democrats were handed each time. The Democrats gained ground but not the sort of drubbing they took when they occupied the White House.
For example in Obama's first term mid-term election, the House and Senate had "super majorities" of Democrats in both. In the Senate they had 60 seats. They lost 63 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate. In addition, the Republicans gained 6 governorships and flipped 20 state legislatures. While the Democrats held onto the Senate they lost their ability to unilaterally pass legislation, while in the House the Republicans took control.
Arguably, the major cause was the passage of Obamacare.
Same thing with Clinton and Carter before him.
Right now, the Democrats barely control the Senate and have a slim majority in the House. It's likely both will flip in 2022 to Republican control. That dooms Biden's ability to get anything done without major cooperation from Republicans.

Both parties know things can change every election. I doubt they'll lose the House unless they royally fuck up, but losing the Senate is a very good possibility.
No doubt Newt skipped over how the Republican Party was eating itself alive with the civil war between traditional Republicans and the Qless Trumpians.

It sure would be nice, if every time we wished something would come true- it would! BUt in life, we don't always get what we wish for!
Cycles are somewhat predictable, however, I believe America has crossed a threshold- and that is- there is now a provable Majority of Democrats willing to vote- than there are Republicans.
On November 4th, 2020, 85 Million Democrats voted- yet only 74.2 million Republicans voted!
One trend says that not all the same voters show up to the mid-terms, as they do in the Presidential elections.
AND YES, the red states will RE-DRAW their districts by gerrymandering them to make less minority votes count, as they always do.
AND YES, HR-1 will go into affect to prevent a lot of the STATE VOTING LAWS intended to suppress minority votes in the red states.
But given these two variables, they will probably offset each other for the mid-terms.
AND clearly, the Democrats are gaining more votes than the Republicans are- even though the Republicans are gaining votes as well.
The Democrats are confident now more than ever about the number of Democrat voters participating in elections, and we like our chances on winning back the House Seats in the upcoming Mid-Terms!
Even if the Democrats win the Mid Terms, I'm not ready to call the Democrats a dynasty as of yet, but I'll just say that there will be a lot of new recruits and registrations between now and 2022 in NOT JUST THE RED STATES, BUT IN ALL STATES.
Most People will be voting their paychecks in 2022- and the Democrats intend to increase these over the next 18 months.
There is an old saying that SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS!
AND IT SURE IS GREAT BEING A DEMOCRAT AND WATCHING THE DEMOCRATS SUCCEED- in spite of the Republicans trying their best to OBSTRUCT THEIR PROGRESS!

Your last statement is true, and it's also true that the Democrats and party in power tend to be the ones that don't show up for mid-terms. This is not new and you can go back decades to read articles that say that then and ones that are saying it now.

There's little to zero chance it will pass the Senate even if the Democrats take the shotgun in the foot of eliminating the filibuster. Aside from that, have you actually read what's in this POS legislation? It is one giant unconstitutional piece of dubious legality legislation. For example, on page 51 (yes, I read it yesterday) of the bill it allows anyone sixteen (16) years old to register to vote when they get their driver's license. Now, the legal voting age is 18 so how you can register to vote and not be eligible to vote is a dilemma that will no doubt end up at the Supreme Court, and doesn't bode well for the bill or Democrats. Just to hammer this home, on pages 28 and 29, on-line and mail-in registration to vote are made legal along with the use of an e-signature. You know, one of those programs where you choose a signature close to your actual one, but it isn't actually your signature. Talk about a major source of potential fraud!

This isn't true either. The biggest voting bloc in the US today is Independent / no party preference. These are the voters that decide elections, not Democrats or Republicans. They swing between the two parties and could easily shift (and likely will) towards the Republicans.

Exactly how? The $15 minimum wage looks dead and buried. Even Biden's administration is saying that. The Democrats dropped it from their latest porkulus package because they knew it was a bill killer. So, what are they going to do to increase paychecks over the next 18 months? Reduce taxes? Not a chance. Reduce business regulation? Free up more federal land for use and resource extraction? Biden's already killed that one... What are they going to do to do this?
Or in the Democrat's case, Insanity is defined as doing the same thing repeatedly despite failing at it every time...
