It's been said that you aren't paranoid if they really are out to get you. So no, Trumptards, you aren't paranoid:

- We're coming for your guns. Yep, we are. If we have our way, no more high capacity magazines, no more semi-automatic rifles, and no more gun show loopholes.
- We're coming for your conspiracy theories. If you post conspiratorial bullshit that jeopardizes people, we will deplatform you. We are going shut you down.
- We're coming for you. If you are a traitor who participates in sedition against the United States, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will throw your asses in jail.
- We're coming for your hate speech. We're going to deplatform that crap too.
- We're going to make you get the vaccine and wear a mask. If you want to participate in society, you'll do both. Otherwise, no soup for you. No travel, no sporting events, no movies, no amusement parks. Put on your fucking mask, and get your vaccine. Otherwise, you get to do nothing.

There is more, but you get the idea. Until you own your behavior and ask forgiveness you are dead to us.

You spent four years shitting on the country and laughing it up. Times up.

Every society has to have standards of acceptable conduct.

What we want is for people to respect each other; and everyone's rights. We don't have to agree on what new laws to make. It would actually be messed up if we did. We need to hear from all views about what the nation's needs are and what to do about them. What is not helpful is making things personal and blaming. Keep it respectful and issue-oriented. That's how we have constructive discussions about the issues facing our nation.

I am thirsty for a policy discussion, but this is the desert, sadly. I actually tried the APP forum, but it seems to just be a playground for a couple of spammers. It's difficult to have policy discussions when we can't agree on a basic framework of facts, and that's where we are. There are not always two sides to every argument. A fact is a fact. We don't have that factual framework, so policy discussion becomes impossible. It would be nice if people couldn't just post a link with no meaningful comment, but I guess that bar is just too high to reach.
 
Paranoia and religion have been very effective tools that the right has used to propagate their ideology.

I hope you can forgive my hyperbole. They need to be scared . You're right on every count, especially the gun control piece. Trump and the NRA. I have no idea why both make Republicans quiver with fear, when both have become completely feckless, but it is what it is. I like your practical approach. Thumbs up.

You appear to be confused. I am well aware of them. They are intended to undo all the damage your Dear Leader did to the country. Those who continue to support those policies and positions have no place in a civil society.

The right has been fed a steady dose of FEAR for Decades, when Saner minds take control they just Know that all those evil things are about to come to pass. Sadly they are too stupid to notice the obvious, that every time the Left takes power none of those evil things ever come to pass, and when yet again the propaganda machine fed them more FEAR they lap it up once again. I think many Americans, more than I ever thought, simple lack critical thinking skills and I am not sure they can learn to do it, some on this site are prime examples of that inability.

The Left thrives on it. The Russia thing with Trump as one recent example. The whole thing was a hoax based on a manufactured dossier. The Right questions the elections and the Left goes off the deep end about conspiracies and how there was no voter fraud... Paranoia drives the Left.
