This comes down for the success metric of government. Since they don't product anything, they are not in it for profit. The first purpose of any government bureaucracy (and government itself) is to justify it's existence. If it has to create a crisis to 'solve' (without ever actually solving it!), that is what they will do.
Democrats are the party of larger government. They want an oligarchy.
America is the only country that teaches children active shooter drills in grade school and high school. It is also the only country that has to. We have mass shootings regularly, over 615 so far this year, with 40,060 plus Americans dying from guns. Sorry gun nuts, I think that is wrong and should be changed. Kids grow up fearing guns and getting shot for no reason. They can be shot in malls too. The psychological impact is terrible. It is easy to stop. Other countries did the right thing and it went away.

The borders are the same as they were. Nobody is tearing down walls. We still have illegals coming through the ports of entry. That is a well-guarded wall. They tunnel under the wall. They come by boat. They fly in. Do you really thing that cry about open borders makes sense?
