Ok. I’m finally giving in and switching my registration to Republican. Not because there is “no such thing as a conservative Democrat” but because I’m not getting to vote in my local elections…because “conservative” democrats got kicked to the curb by the Democratic Party.

I’ll still vote for the Republican candidate who isn’t so extreme (cough, cough … Trump) and the Democratic candidate who doesn’t make killing the unborn, supporting freaks and limiting access to guns a top billing in their campaign.

But I still disagree … there are “conservative Democrats,” we just got kicked out of the party.

That was THE MAIN REASON for the 2nd Amendment; because it was taken for granted that in the agrarian society that America was during the Revolutionary Era (and before) that every farmer or colonist living on the land would need a firearm for hunting / killing animals like savage bear and defending his household from cut-throats and rogues.

Countries have found that registering guns and only allowing people with a real need to have them make society much nicer and more livable. It would be nice to not have to give kids active shooter training in grade schools and beyond. Other countries do not have to do that. It would make the job of policemen much safer. It would drastically cut down mass shootings allowing people to feel much safer in bars and malls. It is a simple thing to do that has been proven to work. We should do it too.
