Poorly because Obama chose to let Joke Biden--much like Joke has given Camel Toe stuff to do--run the effort to get it passed. I would guess Obama was just kicking the can down the road by putting his useless VP in charge of a program he knew had zero chance of succeeding.

In summary, Republicans are on a mission to tear down all important institutions that might hold them accountable, such as the FBI and free press and re-create them in their own fascist image. They're on a mission to tear down American and Democrats are on a mission to rescue it.

Well, I'm not sure what the laws in Canada are in regard to this, but in the US it would be an absolute disaster for the politician trying to do it.

Here the laws on eminent domain and property are if the government takes your property, or reduces or eliminates its value to you, you are entitled to compensation. So, if a law passed making sale, transfer, exchange of a handgun illegal everyone owning one is entitled to compensation. For example, a gun dealer that has say 100 pistols in stock worth say $100,000 is entitled to being paid $100,000 for his loss. The argument that he could still use these pistols is just a dodge that any court would throw out. It is clear he intended them for sale and any personal use would reduce the value of a new, unused, pistol that this guy intended to sell not personally use.

It would amount to a taking and the government would be looking at hundreds of billions in compensation, possibly trillions.

Can you point out where in the Canadian constitution is the right to bear arms and that it can't be infringed.

I'm asking because I couldn't find it.
