No, I believe he was a Leftist because of the policies, laws, and positions, he and his political movement adopted. What makes you think he was on the Right?

I've given the list before. Here's some of the highlights again...

Pro abortion
Pro animal rights
Instituted the first smoking (tobacco) ban in history
Pro public transportation--particularly liked trollies and trains
Wanted all education to be government funded public education.
Banned home schooling
Instituted "common sense" gun laws
Advocated for a wealth tax and redistribution of wealth in society
Wanted government control of big corporations to one degree or another
Instituted mandatory public service (Organization Todt, etc.)
Put a generous welfare state in place
Instituted universal government run health care

How's that? There's more too. But that pretty much is a who's who list of Leftist positions today.

The Left is oblivious to history. They have to be because otherwise they wouldn't be able to call for all the stupid fuck, insane nonsense they demand today. Their view seems to be one of "It didn't work the last ten times, but this time for sure!"
