Allentown group plans rally after item resembling noose found on City Hall worker’s desk

Community leaders will be presenting a list of demands to the city of Allentown at the noon Monday rally at City Hall, 435 W. Hamilton St., a press release said.

The group says that the targeted employee is part of an open Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) case with other city employees against the city and previously reported workplace discrimination and sought mediation.

Per the release: “The noose incident is not an isolated event but part of a broader pattern of leadership’s inaction and obstruction. In December 2024, Allentown City Council voted 4-3 along with interference by Mayor Matt Tuerk to suspend an independent investigation into allegations of workplace discrimination by a collective of City Hall Employees.”

Neo-nazis are too stupid to realize filing a false police report is a crime. It explains why so many of them are in prison or have a parent in prison.

Allentown has some odd demographics. My ex is from there and her brother was very racist against "'ricons"...but he was also bipolar.

I suspect the high percentage of Hispanics are from Puerto Rico.

Not necessarily over the employee's desk. Good if it were, but unlikely.

Anyone who made the noose would have left DNA on it. That would take a little time to analyze. They could easily rule out the employee by comparing her DNA to that found on the evidence.

Conservatives will call out somebody like volsrock, But I couldn't help noticing you didn't call out the Democrat who made the racist comment. As far as I'm concerned, the MAGA movement has no place for the likes of people like volsrock. White Nationalism is not synonymous with nationalism, or populism. And the number of White Nationalists who pretend to be conservatives, is way less than the number of Democrats who are racist, which is basically, all of them.
