Says you and ila. I don't agree. For me it's not really about the size so much as the offensive powers it possesses. But big government is a threat to our liberty and democracy.
 
These are the hard facts without the political correctness shield placed between the single mother myth and the public and enforced by the media whenever one try's to even attempt to discuss this societal problem. Dan Quayle found this out the hard way over a stupid sitcom on TV some years ago. The same stands true for anyone else today.

Bullshit. Children of either gender do better in a loving and stable home. All things being equal, a higher proportion of parents of either gender to children should benefit the child. But not all things are equal. Sometimes more parents negatively impacts the loving environment, emotional and even financial stability. A kid with an abusive and dependent father has no advantage over one without.

I figured it goes without saying but maybe I should have been more clear, yes an abusive father is a bad thing. I don't know your background but I believe you spent time in the Bay Area and possibly even Oakland and there is no way you can have lived in Oakland and not seen communities where almost no fathers or male role models are present and the negative impact it has. There's nothing bullshit about it. (And to be clear it's not a racial thing, boys of all backgrounds need a father figure in their life.)
