its ok for dems to defend america, but not for republicans

Think about this. President Harry Truman ordered atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. Hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians were killed. Truman did this to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of American military people, who were poised to invade Japan. My father was one of them.

The liberal icon Franklin Delano Roosevelt approved the bombing of German cities. Again, hundreds of thousands of people died. It was war and you have to win the war.

But today, forget about bombs. Some Americans believe you can't water board captured terrorists even when thousands of American lives are at stake. That is insane, ladies and gentlemen.

by mainemans standard we shouldn't have dropped the bombs b/c in some future war bombs could be dropped on us... so i guess the planes on 9/11could be bombs and we shouldn't be mad b/c we had done to someone before before.... actually the dems did it to someone before.

Yeah waterboarding some guy is going to save America.

Hey lets just nuke the entire middle east it will save America. Any atrocity is acceptable as long as it protects America or at least the perception of creating safety.

well the dems dropped an A bomb... it would save alot of money and lives just to lite it up....

glad to see you support slave labor, walmart shopper. i never go in there...

I don't shop at Walmart Rob. I am 100% opposed to Walmart. I thought you knew this.

Why not IHG, the dollar stores are pretty much all Chineese too ?
The labor thing ?

Not the chineese end I'm worried about. Its the way Wal-mart treats its workers. My wife used to work there. Lots of abuses: unpaid time, lack of concern for injuries, taking out life insurance policies on employees.

I don't want to support that. As far as I know Dollar Tree doesn't have such policies.

Umm I doubt if they are much better, but possibly. About 4 varieties of dollar stores here. I was origionally referring to Dollar General Store, which is better than dollar tree. I get my socks there and like them better than ones costing much more.

There aren't many places that are like Wal-mart when it comes to employee treatment.

This one guy who works here seems like the happiest guy in the world. Doubt he'd be that way if they were making him work off the clock and attend unpaid anti-union meetings or trying to profit from his death.

Employuer subsidised health in has dropped 10% or so in the last few years. Real wages pretty stagnant. layoffs, etc...
I really don't see a lot of difference.
And if the repubs had their way the employees would not even be able to sue WM over their screwing.

I am in no way defending WM, just thinking that in the big picture WM is not all that much if any worse than other businesses.

US its simply me not wanting to contribute to companies that are especially abusive. Its a reasonable thing to limit my consumption to. Not buying anything produced in a foreign market is not a reasonable limitation.

Yes the evidence, but it is THE big target. Just because we don't have evidence on the others does not mean they are innocent.
To some degree Wal Marts competition could be using us.....
