Six black kids and the rest of the entire black residency of Jena have been caught up in "BS" a lot longer than this incident .. which has once again shed light on what America really is.

What's amazing is that he can make a post to someone else calling them an "embarrassment to their profession" and say he "feels sorry for their kids" with no sense of irony whatsoever.

I will defend Soc from allegations of Communism. He has a healthy respect for civil rights and economic liberty.
 
There is obviously a grave double standard in the response of law enforcement to this issue that needs to be addressed.

That's just the difference between a true conservative and a libertarian. I don't expect you to agree. That's a distinction between your ideology and mine.

I do think it's unfair to paint Soc as a Communist though.

Explain this diatribe...show where it has been alleged or proven that there is a 'Double Standard'..show where 'White students' kicked the shit out of black students in this jurisdiction...also remember that the White Male student who had the shit kicked outta him was not even involved in the original incident...Prove me wrong...Show me this proof!

I'm not going to pretend to know the minute details of this incident. There are certainly people better informed to answer your question that I am. But having said that, those black kids should have never been tried as adults.

Like I said, my ignorance of the topic being discussed prevents me from forming an educated opinion, but my impression is that law enforcement responded much more harshly toward the black students than the white ones.

Further, I do not believe that hanging nooses in a public schoolyard is a valid display of free speech.

You chastize me then say it is just opinion...and sorry but at least one of the six had a rap sheet that would embarrass a career adult criminal...that is why this one kid was prosecuted as a adult at the age of seventeen...please quit with the false outrage this was never a racial issue as investigated by the local police,FBI and a Federal Judge who reviewed this matter...and the Federal Judge was Black by the way!

I've gone out of my way to state my own ignorance on the issue. I gave an uninformed impression which I identified as such.

If that does not satisfy you then I'm sorry.

Ironically the reason I am not taking time out of my day to further research the Jena incident is that I am, in fact, doing my homework (writing an Honors Lit paper). My frequent posting today has been my tool of procrastination.
