My guess is that the child has an army of protectors with her and whomever is with her as 'guests.'

I do know that both my ex and myself discouraged our daughter and son-in-law from a Mexican honeymoon, due to violence and kidnappings from 'well-protected tourists areas.' They chose Bahamas and had a wonderful time.

In October of 2001 my mother had a trip planned to NYC, my foxnews addicted uncle begged her to cancell it because the terrorits would get her.
In January of 2001 my mother had a trip planned to Spain and Morroco, my foxnews addicted uncle begged her to cancell becuase Morroco is a Muslam country.
Summer of 2003 my mother had a trip planned to Turkey, my foxnews addicted uncle went insane sure she would be killed as she got off the airplane.

Dispite my Uncles begging and his offering to pay for trips to many other places, my mother went on the three trips and says they are of the best vacations she has ever been on.

BTW, my uncle has never been overseas.
