Khashoggi dismemberment- Emblem of Trump World

Who blames Iran for Khashoggi's disappearance?

Egypt controls the Suez Canal.. What are you talking about?

Princess kudzu: "Who blames Iran for Khashoggi's disappearance?"
Jack: That's YOUR usual talking point.

Princess kudzu: "Egypt controls the Suez Canal.. What are you talking about?"
Jack: Another of your telltale tactics ... beginning to talk about a different subject. Like the one we are discussing NOW ... Khashoggi.

Still, according to memri, a columnist dismissed the accusation that Saudi security personnel had killed the journalist.

' MEMRI ' is a branch of Izraeli security services.

Why did you bring up the Suez Canal?

What is there to discuss about Khashoggi? We don't know what happened to him at this point.

We all know Khashoggi was murdered by the Saudis in their own Embassy in Turkey.

Will you respond in any way to this? Either as a 'Human', ... 'American', ... or 'Saudi spokesperson'?

If the Saudis killed Khashoggi, the must have had cause.. Are you familiar with his writings?

"Khashoggi, 59, has been a leading critic of Saudi Arabia’s current leadership, sharing his views via platforms including opinion columns in the Washington Post that began a year ago and were translated into Arabic. His journalism career has included stints in Afghanistan, where he met and followed the rise of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in the 1980s. He was deputy editor-in-chief of the Saudi newspaper Arab News at the time of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S., which made him a valuable source for foreign journalists seeking to understand what drove some Muslims into such actions. In the 2000s, he was twice fired from his post as editor-in-chief of the Saudi Al-Watan daily newspaper, which under his leadership ran stories, editorials and cartoons critical of extremists and the way in which the country enforced its religious values. (Saudi newspapers are privately owned but government-guided, and the government approves and can fire top leadership)."

"He told friends and reporters that the space for freedom of speech under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was shrinking and he feared for his safety. In an appearance on Al Jazeera TV’s “Upfront” that aired in March, he said he’d left the kingdom “because I don’t want to be arrested.” On the worsening environment for journalists since Prince Mohammed took over, he said, “I got fired from my job twice because I was pushing for reform in Saudi Arabia. It wasn’t that easy but people were not being put in jails. There was a breathing space.” "

"Khashoggi doesn’t see himself as a dissident but as a critic worried about the direction his country is going under its 33-year-old crown prince. In his first Washington Post column on Sept. 18, 2017, he wrote about his decision to leave Saudi Arabia: “I have left my home, my family and my job, and I am raising my voice. To do otherwise would betray those who languish in prison. I can speak when so many cannot. I want you to know that Saudi Arabia has not always been as it is now. We Saudis deserve better.” In February, Khashoggi wrote that Prince Mohammed maybe “should learn from the British royal house that has earned true stature, respect and success by trying a little humility himself. If MBS can listen to his critics and acknowledge that they, too, love their country, he can actually enhance his power.” In the last column before his disappearance, he urged Prince Mohammed to end the war he started on Yemen more than three and a half years ago: “The longer this cruel war lasts in Yemen, the more permanent the damage will be. The people of Yemen will be busy fighting poverty, cholera and water scarcity and rebuilding their country. The crown prince must bring an end to the violence and restore the dignity of the birthplace of Islam.” "

And?

Khashoggi knows that 9-11 was Al Qaeda not Saudi..

I am wondering if I ever met him.. In 2000 I had a couple of round table discussions with journalists from the Arab News.

If he is fomenting civil war, that's a problem. I will have to go thru the business cards.

Jack: hahahaha ... yeah, that's probably it. God! I hope you are being well paid by the Saudis, you really are good at this.

Odd this hasn't generated more controversy. Isn't Saudi Arabia one of our best buds?

No, but they are some of Donnie's Bread & Butter to the Trump Empire which naturally happens to work in his favor, when you consider that they are also the largest Crude Oil supply in the world, and can immediately throw the world into crisis should they decide to increase the price of the barrel!

Not only that, does anyone else remember how the Saudi's intentionally crashed the Stock Market in the days following 9/11- by selling trillions of dollars of stock?

If you don't think that the Saudi's are back in that same position again, as they are certainly part of the recent Boon in the over-inflated stock market we see today, well then, let me sell you a condo I have on Mexico Beach, Florida- cheap!

But, wouldn't it be nice if Donald would just be honest and tell the truth- the Saudi's apparently have us over a Barrel! Literally!

About a third of Saudis are afraid of change.. MBS is young and may be moving too fast with reforms (and not fast enough to suit Khashoggi)

In any case, its a delicate matter and a dangerous one.. I don't want to see KSA crash and burn.. It would bring on worldwide economic disaster.

The Saudis crashed the stock market???? I sure don't remember that.

Well, when it comes to Deaf, Dumb, and Blind, we pretty much know you are neither Deaf, nor Blind, so apparently you are just DUMB!

Show me.. You must have proof.

Saudi has a couple trillion in investments in the US at the time of 9-11... and I remember the speculation that they would pull out, but that it didn't happen.

No, the stock market did not crash after 9/11, the Dow Jones Industrial did take a -7.13% dip in price, at the time of the event. Keep in mind that we were already in a slight recession. It is possible that the events of 9/11 had little to do with this. Investors were very cautious about the U.S. economy at that time previous to any terrorist attacks.

Historically there is a flight to safety which produces a decline in financial markets. The decline in these markets is usually short-term, after a brief period of decline. This was the case with the 9/11 attack.

Our present economic situation is not due to any terrorist attack, but due in large part to economic cycles. 81 years ago the 1929 stock market crash ushered in the great depression. It took WWII to bring that situation to a close. We are due for another stock market crash sometime in 2010. This will close out the cycle. ( this is more economic lore than fact so take this with a grain of salt, just give you something to think about, as well as a starting point to expand your mind and research,)

'Energy Independence' should be a National Priority.

Yeah.. letting women drive is dangerous. Some things shouldn't be rushed. I'd hate to see the Kingdom crash and burn over this. Cooler heads should prevail.

Princess kudzu: "It would bring on worldwide economic disaster."
Jack: Yeah, no shit.
